    To the people experiencing problems:

Do not install incompatible programs. Be cautious of viruses. Afterall it does use the latest version of the OS. Like any OS software compatibility is an issue. Make sure you have the lastest updates to your programs and dont use incompatible programs. There are various virus's on the loose which have infected some phones in various ways. Through sis files, bluetooth, internet etc.

So far the phone has been great. Does it all. My favourite phone ever. I think Nokia are back in a big way. I havent had any restart happen to my phone, it runs perfectly.

The firmware thing is a waste of time as Different operaters are working with different firmware. Vodafone for example.

Feature wise this is THE phone to beat.

This firmware version 3.45.113 is dated on 04-01-05 RM1.

It solves tons of restart, incl bluetooth issue, SMS junk restart.

Please DISBALE the DUAL mode on the Network connection, instead use
only GSM MODE. After u do this, this version is super stable.

I have used intensive EDGE, SMS, bluetooth, calling for the past 10days
& still have NO restart or crash at all.

DAMN, this phone really rocks now!!

I had the phone for 2 days and returned it after seeing some bugs.

First, when you turn on call duration feature, whenever you get a call, the caller ID and the duration are in the same line!!! This causes them to be garbled. Returned to the store and tried 2 other brand new 6630 and got the same problem.

number two, contacts had issues. No options for settings and no options for sync. Plus, whenever you get a text message, name appears as lastnamefirstname without a space in between!

lastly, picture quality looks unreal. I don't know how you call it, but it's not blurred nor clear. It's like the object turns into cartoons.

With all these bugs, I decided to return the phone and wait for the 3230. Too bad!!!

                    N6600,

I disagree with you. I bought a 6630 a month ago and my filmware is dated 11/11. I have no problems with my phone. Also my previous phone was SE P800 and it was one of the first phone, so a old filmware. I had bluetooth problems, camera quality problems, keyboard problems, restart problems, basically the list is endless.

I wonder why N6630 owners keep on complaining about their unit when it is no secret that nokia sells units that have the lowest possible firmware version thus giving early buyers of their units tons of bugs.
one lesson to be learned from this is that you never buy a new nokia cell phone right away. you must only buy the new nokia cell phone after 6 months to make it sure that the unit is nearly stable enough and good enough to lessen the owners headaches.

Even, I do receive the same message on my 6630 frequently... I don't understand whats the problem.. I have lots of free space on C,D,E .....and no memory suckings APPS are running behind....but god knows (or nokia) why do i receieve this message.. My previous handset nokia 7610, was fully loaded with dozen of APPS, games, memory sucking APPs, but i never had receieve this message in it.. surprisingly, 6630 has more RAM than 7610..then what goes wrong!! If you get the solution, please let me know too....I will be greatful to you.. For now, I just ignore that message, and continue my work.

My video recorder was working fine when I got my phone. I loaded a few apps and games and used a lot of memory and then my video recorder said "Memory Full. Try closing some applications and try again." So then I went ahaed and deleted all the programs I put on and restarted my phone, but it still says the same thing with 9 mb phone memory free and 44 mb memory on the card. Can someone please help? Thx

I have one major issue with this phone which is that it keeps going to 3G mode by its self when there is no GSM service in Taiwan.Slow to boot and at times it doesn't have good reception as it keeps looking for 3G while in GSM mode. There should be an option in the phone that lets the users pick between GSM and 3G.

In your spec chart it quoted call record as unlimited by I found only 10 missed and 10 received calls for the record a bit shy of the 20 it should have..

                                        Stupid sodding phone !
How the hell can I copy my phone book from my sim card to the phone memory ?
I've tried but it only copies the one number selected at the time !!!
It was easy on my old 2100. There was a 'copy all' command. I thought the 6630 would be more advanced but that doesn't seem to be the case with copying phone book from sim to phone memory becuase there isn't a 'copy all' command with the 6630 !
                                        Idiotic symbian software !
