i have seen a few post of urs and you are very helpful..i'm here to welcome u to www.symbianx.com...(if u haven't join) just be a member there, u will get more software then u expected..this website previously got tons of software and games for symbian phone..but i think because of the forum is almost explode because of all the software uploaded there, it has just 'renovated' and we will have to start everything from scratch again...but watever..symbianx would be glad to have a member like you, and u will get great help there and vice versa..

simply use phone properly and it will work good on you. have you read the manual?
z800i is also a good phone but it's huge/clamshell...prone to snatching.
n6680 has tons of applications available for free!

yes! the picture viewer/gallery is very slow but you can download Zensis PhotoRite Viewer version 5.2.1 (a fast one) at nokiapower.com ...you have to register first and download 4 softwares for free per day. A new version is already released but you have to buy it or download the trial.

This is the worst phone I have ever used in my entire life. Having previously used a Nokia 6310i for 2 years I changed to this phone but immediately regretted it. The menu frequently takes 2-3 seconds to respond to button presses and the text message program can't even keep up with me whilst i'm typing. The camera is rubbish - even worse than the cheapest digital camera you can buy - with a weak white LED for a flash which is completely useless; you'd be better off using a candle. It uses very expensive, specialist low voltage miniature SD cards that are difficult to find. The battery is useless and you have to charge it every day, even from new. The keypad is not good, especially the 4-way pad which has a awkward to press button in the middle of it, which is difficult to do since the 3-layer keypad is wobbling all over the place.
Avoid this phone if you possibly can.
A 35mm disposible camera and two yoghurt pots joined together with a piece of string will be both more effective and more satisfying to use.

my 3 previous phones including my 6680 all have keypad problems where some keypad aren't stable because they "move" when i press it.anyone having such problems?

very nice, my complaint, i sometimes unwittlingly pull down the camera guard when i get the fone from the holster (nokia oem).

it's good... i got 1... but i cant find any to sync with apple mac os x or connenting it to internet... can someone help me? some told me that, its about modem script but i cant find modem script for nokia 6680..

i have no idea really...but upon upgrading my unit from version 2 to v4.04.07 (for $5.50...no charge at nokia service center)i've noticed that my n6680 now works fine,no more freeze or auto shut-off in the middle of viewing large numbers of pictures.

battery problem:
-check if it really needs a new replacement
-settings...reduce the alloted time for screensavers, reduce brightness, etc.
-use it on well lit surroundings, that way your keypad won't lit cause of the light sensor
-or might as well not use the unit for playing games or mp3

you encounter "memory full" or "close some applications" if you do shorcuts like if your typing something or playing mp3 then you pressed the menu icon instead of "exit".

3230mmc not compatible to n6680? yes of course since it is not DV (dual volt).
advice:
if you want to use the mmc to other compatible nokia fones, delete the files first thru a memory card reader or the fone itself, insert it to the slot and reformat it. reformatting it on personal computer or fone with installed applications would damage your mmc.

Hello, I bought my Nokia 6680 yesterday and i think it i a perfect phone. I really love this phone. If you are interested about the price i have bought it 400 euros. And again very nice phone, no trouble at all. Bye bye. InG Music Macedonia

After viewing everyone's comments, i dunno wat to say......
I've been using my 6680 for a month now, it never give me any trouble at all.
It didn't hang, reboot or turn off by itself. My 6680 behaved himself haha.....
It's juz the matter of how you use it i guess, don't abuse it.......it's a great phone.....!

ive just got this fone and when i take a picture it says not enough space try closing applications and try again ive got a 512mb mmc and its only half full so unsure why
every nokia ive had seem to do this
can anyone tell me what im doing wrong

I have this phone and I have to tell you that it's great. I have 512MB RS-DV-MMC card and it's speed is as I am with the 64MB card in the pack. Don't forget that this is a smartphone not a telephone and it's normal for it not to be as fast as the other phones.
It has great sound trough the hadsfree and the displey is great. Only the battery is a problem... I recharge it every day :( but for me this is not a problem so I love this phone.

It deserves all the money. I was the first man in my country (Romania), who buy this phone. I give 700$ on him...but i must tell that i'm not sorry for doing this. It's very useful and nice.
