i think that i will call 2morro and friday to see if i can get one! what time to their offices open?
@claire they will be in stock if they will be but they will be getting rid of the back orders as the system still lets them order the handset even if they have already ordered up to the limit
also o2 told me 3 times they are coming in stock tomorrow but will probaly go out of stock again as there is a big queue waiting for them, ive been told should get it friday monday the latest
o2 itself is good, the online is for serious texters, as they were one of the first to give 500 free text but now they are all doing it now orange, voda and o2.
also i did have to say i was going because they were going to charge £99.99 for the phone and they would not budge untill i said i was leaving even though i was not going too
@ the no name why dont u put ur name in the postings and i have never recieved conflicting advice from online customer services so i dont know where that comes from m8
@ kim, the only reason people are getting angry with o2, beacuse all the advices tell their customers different things!
@ kim well said o2 online have always been very helpful with me in fact i didnt need to complain to get anything free or my line rental reduced online are also the cheepest i know of
@ kim, its it really coming in to stock on the 15th? how do you know this? cos i got told tomorrow?
Been using the phone for a week and I think its the same and in fact better than the Sony Ericsson v800.
One great thing about this phone is apart from 3G is the Nokia PC Suite and cable. Outlook synch is a breeze and lets you use Windows Explorer on your PC to update songs and vids to the memory card. Also a must on this phone which you need to download from is Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0. what this does is convert your large sized mp3's to the amr and for vids in the mpg format to .3gp This means that these files are compressed to a smaller size and you can then transfer them to your memory card and play them on the phone. Not yet a ipod replacment but the start.
The 6680 is in stock with O2 Online on the 15/07/05. This is a nice phone thats why it has been out of stock since the 06/07/05. Alot of people have called asking for this handset but They cant order them if it is out of stock. Obviously! I just wish that people would stop giving o2 online such a hard time. They are only doing their job.
@ wozza i also ordered mine on 4th july on o2 and recieved it on the 6th u must have ordered it as it went out of stock m8 the handset is great a bit different to other nokias but very similar to 6600 no problems that i have found yet either and signal not bad get 3g coverage in manchester its not perfect but they still working on it
its great that some of you have received your 6680, im still awaiting mine even though i ordered it on the 4th July! It still says when i track my order that it is out of stock? Anyone shed somel light?
P.S anyone on o2 got it yet? Any good?
No this phone doesn't have any "real" problems only that it is very expensive. I bought this at half price a month ago but without that 50% off i would never have thought of buying it
if anyone does have this phone does it seem to have any problems at the moment?
fuuny enough when i ordered it monday they said it would be 2 weeks, then it come thursday and i missed it so got it delivered today, it shows what o2 are like but i think they was just covering there backs
@claire the k750 hasnt shown any problems yet but it is a sony erricson and they dont tend to agree with o2 network for some reason lol
@ claire it was the k700 and the k500 that had problems on o2 the k5oo with messages and k700 with bluetooth
me cousins came today so going to have a play with it later but i know they had problems with another sony phone especially o2 as it had trouble with the messaging, i only use nokia now
