well i havent got this phone yet can't wiat it looks worth the cost i love the look its no big and bulky like other 3G phones, this is defintly the phone for me !!!!!!!!1 should be getting it in a week or so due to limited stock dahm
this phone is great but it's just only a clone from sony ericsson...i love it but it's still not coplete it's just a baby phone.
i've been using this phone for 1 week,n yet no problem at all.its the best phone i have yet.actually, i want to wait for N90 but i heard this phone in Malaysia will be EXPENSIVE somewhere RM3500(RM1=3.8USD)!!!! Its better for me to buy a laptop with this kind of price, much worth it.
-exellent camera n video
-better mp3 sound so far
-long battery life
-rich of features
-small internal memory
-no FM radio which is very sad
-another different type of memory card to used call RS-DV-MMC,which is i hate it a lot coz i have to change MMC!!!
Finally, buy this phone if your country provide 3G service,Malaysia just lanched its 1st 3G recently.
does this phone have viberation??? mine doesnt viberate which sucks, is that for eveyone?
been using it for almost a month now. never had any problem with it. my advise is, to achieve optimum battery life, don't overcharge it. i've been unplugging the charger after the charging meter says full, and the battery time is still pretty long. it lasts for 3-4 days even with extensive camera/ video recording. the only problem i have is with the pcsuite which doesn't seem to work. does anyone know how to transfer the themes from the stock 64 mbmmc to another mmc? i've upgraded mine to 128 and i transferred all files/ applications from the old to the new card using a card reader but the old theme files didn't get copied. to those having problem with the image quality, check out the imaging settings. or maybe you just have to zoom in the image to appreciate it. this is the best phone currently in the market. you can even adjust your camera settings to take pictures in sepia or in black and white. even if there is no 3g here in the philippines, it's still a very good buy. downside: no fm radio and no infrared.
i was looking forward for this phone long time ago, seems there is anouncement that 3g coming. Finally i decided to buy it...but next week.herm...i was wondering if the housing colour can be plain white or pearl is better.the weight is little bit heavy and looks bulky for girls.but i think i will be the coolest in town when i take it out fro my bag...
I`ll say that`s a complete phone. It works fine on 3G, I specially love that you can store as many contacts or messages as you want. Compare to other phones 3g or non 3g i`ll say that`s the best.
i was gonna buy this fone but at last moment i changed my mind n bought 6681.. there's not much diff between d both except 3g... n 3g services has still not come to india... so its better to buy its other varient if u r in india...now my next fone would be the 1 which comes after Nseries...n by dat time 3g services wud b very common.. so i think its better to buy 6681 instead ofdis 1...if u r from india.. or ne other country which does not hv 3g services... still.. ny ways...nokia rocks...n will always
Me again. Just noticed an inadvertence here on gsmarena. This phone actually allows mp3's as ringtones in case you're interested.
Hey, I just made the switch from the former 6630 (mine had problems, old firmware & stuff).
Bought mine for ~400e from Connex Romania.
It has a great display (it's at least as sharp as the 6630 was), I've had to update some software (i.e. Smartmovie). The casing seems better than 6630, the keyboard is definitely better. I'd like to see some other casings (even third party products), eventually full metal back :-))
No software problems of any kind here, no restarts. I'm still using the genuine 64 card provided.
My *only* complaint (toward Nokia Finland):
Before I gave up my 6630 I made a backup file in Nokia PC Suite. Now I'm desperately trying to use that with my new 6680 but its not working. So all my *well organised* contacts are gone (still have the sim card, but too lazy to start over again). Is this ANY way to open the backup of an "old" model in order to save *at least* the contacts in the new phone? I suppose there is a whole bunch of customers upgrading so, common Nokia, look into that problem.
To copy the sim contancts quickly, you have to goto sim contacts in phone book, then mark all of them and then in options goto copy.
All sim contacts will be copied in 1 go
how many MB can his phone support??
1 gigabyte??can someone tell me?thx!!
Overall, this phone is the best phone that i've had so far! However, i don't know if it is the phone of if there is a fault but when i call someone i can't hear them!! Even thought the volume is to the max! I still can't hear them!! but my Loudspeaker + Handsfree works perfectly so it might be an internal problem? I was wondering if anyone might know if this is a FAULT or if the Nokia 6680 is generally a quiet phone. Apart from that the phone is great! B
I just got this 6680, phone, its outstanding and user frendllly to use, one small problem i experinced that copying all the sim entry take soem time, you got do one by one, oh well, still worth it, it kind pricy.. still awsome phone.... so guys enjoy it
I bought this online a week ago - and also the 256Mb rsdvmmc (made by ATP) that was just out..
Sim-free - inserted my virgin sim and it comes up as t-mobile, but everything works - lots of complex settings, but nokia and virgin will do it for you..
Guys, Its been four days I have the 6680 and believe me, I CANT HEAR A THING when im talking. The volume is all the way to the max, but I just cant hear the person im talking to. I thought I was imagining so i reverted back to my 6230 for two minutes and I realised I wasnt imagining. It cant be the sticker that protects the screen cause it has a hole in that area. Loudspeaker; the other person cant hear me, versus anyone can hear me using loudspeaker on the 6230.
at wot price(in Rs.)u r buying this mobile?? can u tell me. n bout third party softwares working on it... not all softwares run on it.. their updated version run smoothly... some softwares hv already been updated for this handset... so in near future their wud b no problem in using these softwares on this fone.
Differances between 6680 & 6681:
Thats All i can make of it..Anyone else has any extra info..please ADD..
Hello Friends,I have planned to buy 6680.My only worry is that will it support all the software that is supported by 6600.Apart fromm dual camera what is the difference between 6680 and 6681. Nokia fans i will be really greatfull, if u people can answer my questions.
I just got the 6680 a few weeks ago. If you cant wait about 8-10 months for the N70, then I really would say you should get this phone.Featurewise, it is very amazing (including QuickOffice, PDF Support). Regarding the 1.3 Megapix Camera, I feel it is adequate and you shouldnt bother with a better camera as a digital camera is the best option till phones with 4Megapixel (a few years) come out. Yes, some people have talked about some software issues, but i would say these are very minor and the 6680's features, cameras and design cover up for it totally. I am pretty sure this phone will still be 'up to date' in the Year 2006 . If you have got the 6680 and are considering swapping for a Nseries, just wait for the better cameras. Also, i feel that there wont be that many new features in the future for phones except better browsing speed (6680=impressive) and camera upgrades.
