hi hyptonic, can i ask some question about 6680?
whats your firmware?? could you write please?
i have an o2 sim card used over 6 months ago. no1 knows this number! the number is 07799**6611 great for a business. plz email me if interested. i would swap it for a black v3, open 2 offers thanks
Where on earth do you people buy your phones. I mean every review i read is complaining about some fault you have with it. I got my 6680 on three on the 12th of May, 8 days after it was officially released, from The Link and I havent had a problem with it since. I've been uploading, downloading, playing music, snapping pictures, taking videos, and using all the other software i have on there and not one thing has gone wrong with the phone or the memory card. Only go and buy your phones from PROFESSIONAL high street retailers, not those bootleg shops in the back alleys or off some internet company thats been up for 8 hours.
systemguy, I should take it back to the shop, I'm sure they could replace it, or re-initialse the system somehow.. (you would have to find a technical workshop though..)
my current call has these entries..
(Icleared the log recently, but..)
missde calls : 4
recieved cals: 2
dialled numbers: 12
sent data: 200K
received data: 1015k
total log( -> from log menu) shows all numbers sent/recvd : more than 120 ...
I've searched the forum but could not find anything related to this problem...
I have a Nokia 6680 on the '3' Network and have been quite happy with the phone and the Nokia PC Software... however all of a sudden when i go to use the Noki 6680 Camera (Rear Camera) and open the slider the phone displays "System Error" and i cannot use the camera... then when i check the Gallery/Images on the Memory Card there is nothing there... It seems that everything including my video contents has been deleted...?
Does anyone know why? or how to fix this problem as i'm also having problems connecting the phone via my PC now to do a restore and/or backup my phones contents...
First page for call records here onl;y states " YES ". Would be nice if they told you how many Missed Calls, Received Calls and Dialled Calls this phone is capable of handling. Can't figure out why the Nokia phones only remember 10 or each?? With all that memory out there these days they can only seem to remeber 10 of each? I wish GSM Arena would post how many each phone remembers rather then just a YES for call records. Investing $300,$400 or more on a new phone that can only remember 10 numbers is quite poor..
Yes even my handset has a very low earpiece volume...when compared to my pervious 6230..
Did any one of you noticed the earpiece volume to be very low or is it my phone that has this issue. Please reply.
bought the nokia 6680.thrilled so far, although i had my first bad experience...
I inserted a 256MB DV RSMMC trancend and although worked fine at first,i tried saving a video file from the phone, the card blacked out,and the phone issued a message that the card was destroyed.
I then reinserted the card, reformated it twice(just in case)and now works without any problems. However this thing locked my folder that has all multimedia files on the phone, and could not access the files from there, but from the management of files folder.
I had to hard reset the phone ( *#7370#) to solve the problem. Now everything works great
pictures are great, battery is average, but i dont mind.I have already bought a stand and a couple of batteries anyway. All those phones are kind of battery eaters.what do you expect?
phone is great, but why no radio? does anyone know if software is available.
I havent read too many comments on the batterry life.
How good is it ?
I am intrested in the figuers from the users not the promo's.
I dont like the way sonyeric configures the SMS - you have a limited selection of alert tones, and cannot load your own, like nokia..
If they somehow get symbian onto the sonyeric750 or newer, then it would be *way* better!
Just been comparing the voting results and the sony k750i is slightly ahead.
Both these phones are due out next week on O2 in the UK and I need to make a decision pretty quick. So if anyone has the time just to say a quick which is better it will help, as I don't wanna make the wrong choice and be stuck with a non wanted phone for 12 months.
I bought this phone 'sim-free' because I am fed up with providers restricting features, and 'over-branding' the phone!
eg - making 4 buttons do the same thing - internet!!
- bluetooth functions restricted artificially
- MP3 capabilty restricted artificially
- many 'custom buttons' locked artificially
I get full functionality with VirginMobile, with setups provided by the Nokia website...
the only thing you need 3G for is 'video calling' if you desperately need it - I find it easier to just record video (yes, both work!) and send it..
the 'active standby' mode is great, Five shortcuts are available, with your appointments below, and most of the menu is movable/modify-able to your taste..
