Thanx jeremy.for the most comprehensive review.pls can u mention battry life.
Can anybody help me out saying whether this phone supports videocall or no like it is in N73. Please reoky. Thanks.
I have just purchased this phone in Sydney Australia and despite all the idiotic negative comments below, it is a fantastic handset.
I have no idea what people are talking about with buttons not working.. etc. and all the normal functions of a Nokia are there with regard to turning things on or off... or choosing where to save your files... please, read the manual before you say stupid things about the functionality of a handset.
If you have any problems with this phone then get Nokia to replace it!!
The menu is as fast as ever. No lag at all.
It came with a 1Gb Micro SD card, but i transferred everything on to a 2Gb card.. I have filled that to approx 85% full with existing photos and videos and this didn't slow the phone down at all.
Nokia Maps & GPS are brilliant.
Get a little keyring thing to hang out of the bottom of the phone and hook your finger in to so you don't drop the phone when pressing 0 for example.
What else do people want to know?
The Accelerometer is only for tapping the back or front of the phone. Tapping the back or front of the phone twice Snoozes an Alarm, Mutes an incoming call, and tap the phone twice AGAIN to reject the call. When the phone is in standby mode on the table in front of you for example, you can tap the phone twice to display the time.
All other functions are great.
You can choose where to save your videos / photos. The auto focus camera gives really good results and the 3gp video can be set to an exceptionally high quality level. The internal LED flash is really effective too, and you can change the photo mode from portrait to landscape.
The stainless steel finish is great and doesn't suffer as many fingerprint problems as I would have thought... and yes the screen is going to be prone to fingerprints, so keep the soft case that the handset comes with handy to give it the occasional wipe, or wash your hands more! :o)
What else do people want to know?
I use it as a Bluetooth modem at home and this handset blisters along at a really good pace..
(I just got 80ms ping, 0.53mb/sec Download, & 0.45mb/ sec Upload on Vodafone Mobile Broadband.)
Oh yeah, have you ever been somewhere and had need to charge your phone but you've only got your USB phone cable with you and not a charger? The 6700 charges off USB!
Simon, 29 Sep 2009Anyone know if there are any signal issues with the 6700.No. Mine is great for signal. If people are having problems with signal it could be they still have 3G turned on. Sometimes 3G coverage is so poor that signal is low. Try turning off 3G. Also turning off 3G improves battery life as it uses more power.

major problems lying with my handset are:-
1. mostly ... moresome people dont know how to do anything,
to get your pictures saved to the memory card you have to be in camera mode and follow these steps:
3) select "image/video storage"
4) select "memory card"
there you go, im sure if you read the instruction manual it would have advised you of the same procedure.
