But, I have noticed ,(and I wanted to check it with you, that is already 5 month since you bought it…) that the micro USB jack is very fragile. Day by day increases my fear of to be broken it when I plug or unplug… As I synchronize between the phone and two computers, I plug/unplug like 4 times/day…
I have read that nokia has this problem in several phones. Have you noticed something?
It's about 5 months that i have this phone and i"m totally satisfied with it.with this price you cant have a better one.for me the having an OS is really important
because i install lots of softwares games and themes on my cell phone and this one is great. it's Symbian ^3 but sometimes i can install Symbian ^5 games and themes on it.the camera is a real 5 MP and pictures are great.for listening to music it's not bad it is not a music phone but the voice quality is good
and about the voice recorder it has a very powerful recorder and i use it a lot.in my opinion it is a great phone. i agree it doesn't have a very beautiful design but that doesn't matter for me very much
shimon, 21 Jan 2011how can i get this standby home screen for my N86? they have the same OSYou wont get that homescreen cuz n86 has an old software i.e S60 V3 FP1 and this one(6700) has S60 V3 FP2 with contacts bar so i think you wont get contacts bar in n86

Thanks a lot Skipper, So the phone will do all the 'normal' Nokia actions when you got a message (bleep-envelope-name sender on screen) right?
Then the last question is this; is it possible to switch off the T9 texting function on the phone and just text one letter at the time (normal you can change that with the # key on your keypad.Due to the fact this phone has no smiley's; you could still text ; - ) for example to send one. Many Thanks!!!
Im having a bit of a problem. I just got this phone and when i recieve a message it does not come up with the senders name even though all my contacts are saved and not doubled up. So i just wondered if there was something i could do?
arvinkills, 21 Jan 2011hey skipper, can you pls instruct me on how to deactivate camera sound for this unit??? i also... moreYes, of course. It is quite tricky. It took some time to discover it. Under: "MENU", "SETTING", "SETTINGS", "GENERAL","PERSONALIZATION", "TONES", "WARNING TONES".
Turn "WARNING TONES" OFF. It worked for me.
K-Dog, 22 Jan 2011Hello, They told me that this phone has no emoticons. But can you still make a 'smily-face' wh... moreOf course the phone gives you a warning when you receive a text message. It does beeping, envelope and gives name of sender on screen. But it is true that it doesn´t count messages in inbox (unless mine not...);but I never get it full (or a warning), and I have lots of messages…
Hello, They told me that this phone has no emoticons. But can you still make a 'smily-face' when texting letter by letter?
And the other thing that i really would like to know. I read that this phone wil not give you a warning when you receive a text message. (so you see no envelope on screen); you always have to check your inbox for new messages. The phone also won't count your messages in your inbox (for exemple, i have new 2500+ text messages on my Nokia 6500 slide phone). I would like to keep this 'normaly' standard future. Can anybody help me with this questions. Like how many text messages can you store on this phone; and will it work like any other Nokia? (beeping; envelope and name of sender on screen). Many thanks!!!
