Yes, the old days of Nokia are back [6660,7610,N70,N73]. Wide screeen nice key buttons good internal memory. Decent font size which had been disappearing these days.
This phone will take the market rolling.
This is the perfect phone for father's day. I'm gettin it from my fahter at http://www.puremobile.com/Nokia/Nokia-6720-classic-Brown-GSM-Phone/ as a gift. While he sleepd I'm gonna switch the sim and give him a wake-up call.
Its so strange to me .. Why nokia does it, as anyone know, 6220 has xenon that 6720 doesn't.
Also nokia should be never forget to put WiFi on it..
this a new mobile look like nokia 6220. but nokia 6220 is better! i sure it is better !
how long does the battery last when constantly used?
does it reach 5 days or more?
I personally don't like S60 phones, they're too powerful for the batteries, and when you travel long distances you need reliable communication. Symbian etc. is all good business-related stuff, very impressive, but I can get use of calendar, email, lesser powerful camera, MMs and good storage from a 'weaker' Series 40. Also, the fonts are larger - you don't need a microscope to read a text! Some of us just don't need or want 4GB memory slots and 5 megapixel cameras! A lot of mid priced phones have about 10 -20 mb on the flash memory which is more than enough to take snaps with a VGA-to-2 megapixel camera.
looking through the specification i think it is a perfect handset for an average person who use a little bit of every thing. good camera, good stereo with speakers on both side, sopports simbian softwares and also good battery backup. I am going to buy one as soon as it is launched in Indian market.
c, 01 Mar 2009Would be nice if this phone came in Series 40. What happened to the good old Series 40? Why is... moreWhy would you want a S40 device over a S60 device? There is more software available for S60 than S40 these days and on such a powerful phone, I fail to see the advantages. There is a reason Nokia moved away from S40 with the 6600 - they were no longer forced to using hardware that didn't support S60 smoothly - powerful enough mobile phone platform to support S60 was readily available in the days of the 6600 and onward, so why look back? It's not like Windows Vista which is just plainly slow and horrid compared to XP now, is it!?
agrees with c on the series 40 thing . maybe prolly series 40 maximum capabilities cannot forgo more than the current market system . i dun noe if u get wat i mean . u noe all those complex codes to make the phone works and all . for example, maybe series 40 can only accept no bigger resolution than 1260 x 960 or sumthink like dat . or maybe it the max out external memory s40 can take is like 2gb while s60 8gb . well, that's just a guess .
Would be nice if this phone came in Series 40. What happened to the good old Series 40? Why isn't Nokia releasing any high-end Series 40 models? Nokia has proven that they can make high-end, best seller Series 40 phones. They proved it with the Nokia 6230, Nokia 6230i, Nokia 6233, etc. Why did those series get discontinued. When I mean series, I mean like the Nokia 6600.
e.g. Nokia 6600>Nokia>6630>Nokia>6680>Nokia N70>Nokia N73>Nokia N82.
Nokia started with the Nokia 6230 and went: Nokia 6230>Nokia 6230i>Nokia 6233, and then the they stopped there. I REALLY hope Nokia sees this. Please Nokia, more Series 40 highend phones. Please bring back the good old days of theNokia 6230, Nokia 6230i, and Nokia 6233.
but it will take time for it to get to HUngary,Nokia is now making a bigger move,on the newer phone they are putting 600 MHz processor, the good old 369 Mhz times are over, they have to upgrade the Nseries models!!!
