I've been using my prism now for almost 2 weeks already and I'm so happy that I got this phone. It's not a perfect phone coz' it has its own cons, which for some may be highly aggravating!
Before I give my review for this phone, just wanted to say to Hindustani that I didn't acquire this phone by asking money from my dad! FYI, I earned it myself. I saved up my own money just to buy the phone that I want! So you know, I did not buy this phone just because it looks classy and unique. I read reviews about the phone first, I read the manual by downloading it from the Nokia website, and I read its specs & features if it has some of the important things that I want. So you see, I'm not just a dumb, show-off buyer!
I quit arguing with senseless minds who thinks they're better than everyone and stereotypes people around him!!! :P
Here's what I think about my phone:
Its unique design just simply screams out elegance and sophistication! Some may hate it and some may love it. Not everyone may think it looks beautiful! Although the keypads are awkwardly shaped, they're quite comfortable to use! However, if your fingers are wet and oily, it's hard to use the joystick! There's a simple solution to that, WIPE YOUR FINGERS CLEAN AND DRY! :)
The quality of the screen is just AMAZING!!! I've never seen an LCD so crisp and clear!!!! The colors are so vibrant and precise! I downloaded pictures from my digital camera to my phone and they look exactly the same as they looked on my desktop's LCD monitor.
The quality of the sound is very very clear. The speakers are not very loud though! If you place mp3s with higher bit rates, they would sound a little bit louder than compressed mp3s.. If you try to compress your mp3s, I suggest not to go lower than 96Kbps..
The new S40 operating system of the 7500 prism is a breeze!!! It loads up everything so fast compared to S60 phones and older versions of S40.
Like everyone said, the battery is a total drag!!!! It drains up really fast.. It's because of the LCD that contains 16Million colors and its brightness set always to maximum! If only the brightness can be adjusted, then it could lessen the battery consumption.
Overall, the phone is awesome!!! I have no regrets whatsoever.. Let's just hope Nokia fixes the battery problem! Sony Ericsson has better batteries!!!! They last longer.. :)
i got the prism for my birthday and i love the camera but the problem is the zoom and documents
i can't take pics of documents and when i zoom it's a disaster but it's ok
the batterie life sucks but it's not like i have to use it a whole day is it?
got this today in ireland happy so far like all new nokia just released we are the ginea pigs like all s40 phones battery like prob poor if used alot especially mp3 which is decent enough
every cust.has it'sown taste
so those who want to take just take it if u want some diff. look
Hope u all are fine..
A very short review on this phone.
Letz start with the disavantages so that atleast I can end this review on a positive note.
The battery life is really horrible. Be prepared to charge the battery frequently if you are using the phone often.
With regards to the mp3 player, the speaker soud output is jus OKAY, not all that great, but itz jus fine for people who are really not very concious of having very loud volume turned on while listening to music.
The 2 mp cam that has a flash, is on par with other 2 megapixel cam on nokia phones.
Now incase ur planning to buy this phone, itz ur decison. Please do Consider the above mentioned GENUINE FACTS & come to a conclussion.
monkey see, monkey do. One complain, other follows..........
Launch traditional looking, they said it ooks boring; launch something different, they said it's too different for them, too out there for them.
If you like it, fine, if you don't, stop looking at it.....
Battery Back up is not good, if i hear song continosly for an hour battery gets down, iam not satesfied, please beware of these phone dont buy these model
This phone is medium. It is not as great as it is told to be. The WORST thing about this phone is the control of the joystick, which is very poor. For more question please ask!

After purchase of one month on N7500 prism, i have got a problem with the camera, there is diagonal lines which come when using the camera, this was not there initially, and this reflect in the pictures taken.
can some one tell me what would have cause the problem.
Worst phone i ever seen i bought for 9.5 & sold it for 7.5 & i lost 2.0 grants
& i agree with the below opinion
It makes me really sad I let myself buy that phone. Battery life is so bad it can't make it up for all the goods in the phone combined. If you actually use it, you have to charge it every day!
I think the phone looks great..I've been using it for about a month and i don't have many complaints against it...The sound quality is awesome though it could have been a bit louder..The camera works fine without zoom...But i get pretty hazy pics when i zoom in...Other than that...it is a really cool phone and i have no idea how people find it ugly!!
To Advocate Garg.
As a person who has accepted The Law as his profession, telecommunication and its security and failsafe measures must be of utmost importance to you. My personal experience tells me to request you to go for the Nokia Communicator series. You must have witnessed that most of your colleagues in the Delhi High Court Bench [both males & females] have been using them for many a years now. Flashy phones from the recent line up are meant for the glassy eyed kids with Dad-has-lotta-money-to-burn attitude.
"... Only artistic people can fully appreciate the cuts and patterns of this phone ..."
Sorry "Boss" ... Most of the cell-phone users buy their phones -- for themselves -- with their OWN hard-owned money. And so they are concerned about battery-life -- also known as talk-time but termed as neither music-time nor camera-time -- and network access and ease of use and the price-tag.
To cut down to the chase -- and following frapper's view -- phones made for glassy eyed kids with lots of DAD's easy-money are the designer phones with artistic view. Correct me If I'm wrong.
Hey frappo, when was the last time you bought a phone for yourself to fulfill the telecomm purposes rather than irrational irrelevant reasons like ... light a green fire of envy among pals or impress the chick-next-table? Or even worse -- don't tell me that you buy designer phoneS simply because you dream of opening up your multi-billion USD fashion house someday -- say 100 years down the line?
I quit from posting @ Prisms.
