I have the Nokia 7610. Terrific reception, and feature packed phone.
BIG PLUS is the Battery life of up to 3 days even if you fiddle with the camera , bluetooth , image editing , MMS to your heart's content.
Camera quality is also great and bluetooth connects witha breeze. MP3s also play with decent quality but not so good compared to Motorola phones.
About the themes , you can even install a windows XP theme and make it look like your desktop.
Connectivity with the PC is also very easy to configure. NO problem at all.
MINUS POINTS-
1. Cannot send SMS to contacts stored on SIM!! You HAVE to copy them to phone memory . Not like the 6610 I had/ :-(
2. The Alarm clock volume is not configurable and by default its very very low.

Anyone needs to format a 6600,6670,7610,3230?
formatting deletes all contacts(not the ones on sim card) , anything installed on the phone memory and also resets all settings...the main purpose is to fix bugs that might have occured due to any 3rd party applications installed.
by formatting the fone becomes as good as new.anyone needs to format any of the above models plz call me on 9899585596. this is mobile number of delhi(india).

im planning too buy this fone but i just wanted to know that is 7610's mp3 player excellent or just good.ALso i dont care whether it has 70 or 170 thingees for that sms when i have a 1 mp phone camera.Plez tell me abt that mp3 player thing.one more thing .ISNT IT THE MOST AWESOME FONE OR WHAT!!!!------I want answers.

hello everyone i just got nokia 7610 a couple of weeks back.. the phone is awesome, i cudnt find more better phone... althought its expensive but its options r simply gr8.. and messege characters depends on service provider.. mine have 160... the fone have pvplayer already installed from which we can see videos in full screen mode... its a gr8 fone...

And about that 70 characters thing in SMS messaging it doesnt concern your Service Provider. You can check on the phone settings possibly with it's dictionary and some others. My advise to other users is to try to browse every application on the phone so you an familiarize urself in using ur phone. allright... have a good one! Ü

I can say that the phone is worth it if you are just a regular user who doesnt know much about latest technologies. I've had some disappointments w/ this fone. Sound Quality is not that good it has MONO output even in using POP-ports, 2-earplug headsets (the original ones) are not supported. No FM tuner. Imaging is good except in playing small videos, it tries to extend the video to the screen until it pixelizes. MP3 player skips too much using RealOne. and if you are using UltraMp3 it also skips while recieving an sms or a call or just even navigating through it. And you will know when ur recieving any incoming data if the song skips if you are using ULTRA mp3. And if there are pips who know any resolution to these said details pls post it here so all can have some insights. And if there is a POP-port device in order for you to plug in just a normal headphones so the sound quality can somehow be enhanced while playing music files.

How do i copy mp3 to this phone, i have used siemens and downloading files seems to be much easier than on nokia for me, thanks in advance

u guys have made a mistake. Its' not due to any carrier's fault. Each sms consist of 160 characters for all Nokia 7610. 70 characters meant dat u've set your hp to the chinese mode. Press the "pencil" icon on the left side key, change the writing language back to english mode and you'll be back to the 160 characters.

I must say that his phone is amazing, i have read some comments and i must add that those comments were false, all problems you mentioned were caused by your own stupidity. Phone is Great, It's a MUST HAVE!!

I bought this cell phone and I am contented with the features.Regarding the no.of characters I beg to disagree to those who wrote that it is comprise only of 70 char.NO. OF CHARACTERS DEPENDS ON YOUR SERVICE PROVIDERS NOT THE CELL PHONE.I have 150 chars.those who have 70 blame it to your carriers cos I think your carriers SUCK!!!

I really like this phone and I'm planning to get this phone but i see from the opinions that there r only 70 characters for sms.I'm one who can type and send out 10 sms at one time. if tis is the case it would be more ex..Can i know why is it so?i tot all msg should have the same no. of characters..is it possible to change? can someone advise me pls..

this phone advertised by nokia as mega... everything is not good buy.it is big,and keys r awkward.amazingly id doesnt has infrared port.another glitch is dat it doesnt hav radio also.there is no reason y u shud skip 6630 and buy this one unless ofcourse u like its novel shape.

This phone design is pretty nice but it's very bad. i had it 2 month ago the music sound is terrible, very slow if you turn on!!! I gave this to my friend in his birthday because i didn't liked it I WILL NEVER BUY IS PHINE AND PLEASE DON'T BUY IS PHONE
