Hi witchking. This is NooB again!
Can u please tell me some of the games among the WHOLE LIST of MAME roms that are compatible with the EEMAME? I have been looking for it since that time. and just my luck that every roms that i choose to DL they cant be recognise by EEMAME.
Anyone of u! please tell me...
i loved nokia 7710 it is the best phone i ever had but the only problem i had : it is very slow to open any data
Nightcrawler, I've converted the Doom 3 demo that is going around the internet and put it on my phone. At full screen, it looks as good as the original with no choppiness. From what I have read, due to the size of the screen, you will notice lack of details due to the compression ratios used which becomes more obvious the larger the screen is. I have yet to do a "proper" film, but even if I did, I have no way of checking frame rate for you.
i think it's pretty good.. but does anybody know how much it is here in philippines? please..tthanks...
This is nokia's best phone ever,i got one for myself and i'm quite content with it's

Hi guys i am considering buying 7710 i just wanted to know if i can watch 200-400 kbps
video fullscreen at 15 fps or not and if the video becomes choppy or not.
thanks in advance and please help me with full detail.
The 7710 can read (and create) Word and Excel files. It can also read (only) Powerpoint files. It can read any files from Office 97 and upwards.
Note complex macros and formating will not be correctly displayed / handled by the 7710 and its authoring capabilities are not huge (i.e you cant create a complex Word or Excel file).
about the latest 7710 firmware . it is version 3.0 . It has to flashed on the phone memory , so not possible to download from net and manually install it. requires a flasher and some other jazz . in india the version is available only in the level 3 nokia care centres. caution : leave it to nokia , firmware insatallation is specialized stuff and done by professionals only.
try using the yahoo wap mail service. you can view yahoo mail and it is pretty fast too. cheers
Okay I have a question about yahoo email. I cannot check my yahoo email with this cell phone. iS anyone else having thiS same problem? I am from the U.S. i dont know if thiS has something to do with it but what should i do i tried changing setting but nothing seems to work.
one question. May I open word and excel files with 7710?
Hope to receive an answer! Thanks
No it is not true. The manual actually suggests using your finger nail to dial.
I know someone who has drop a 15lb weight on the screen and it worked afterwards (though I think he was lucky myself). Basically, you must avoid anything that is sharp and will scratch it.
I heard that if u use your fingers do dial a nuber you can damage the screen is it true?????
Sorry, just saw your post. There are a lot of ZIPs that MAME will not recognize. Firstly, install MAME to C (DEVICE) and not the memory card. Secondly, Roms have to be stored in c:\Mame\Roms in ZIP format (do not unzip). Thirdly, as I said, the .dat file is available from harmonicode website and it shows what zips are compatible. If you can't find this, then just try random zips (I would recommend you just download a load and try them). Fourthly, any mame roms which use vector graphics (ie battlezone) are not compatible and will fail.
You can dial using just your fingers. I also manage to dial and look up contacts with my finger (nails). THe number keypad that comes up for phone calls is quite big.
AS for firmware downloads, I dont have a clue and my only advice would be use Google. I understood they did have the latest firmware in India though. I also understand there is specialist equipment required to do this. There is some mention of it in My-symbian and also mobile-review forums. Let me know how you go.
