Advts appear in TVs, radios, mobiles, theaters, and so on to make money. That is the reason why they are called commercials. But, question arises with respect to mobiles since it contains plenty of private data. Will any Software Manufacturer upload their client's programming data in a cloud or will have it in a computer that is connected to the internet? The answer is definitely NO because of want of privacy. This privacy is lost with respect to mobiles. I don't save any of my important data in my phone for want of privacy. I always rely on my computer. Even my computer has two hard disks one for the internet and the other to store my private information. Privacy might even include confidential information. Now coming to Xiaomi, everyone knows that Android One devices will not entertain advts. Though other Xiaomi devices entertain advts many users are comfortable with that. Please don't mean that advts steal your data. But, it consumes your internet - ( Data Pack ). It is almost impossible for any ordinary user to calculate the volume of internet data stolen. Moreover, any app can steal your information, if it is designed so, in any Android System without the users knowledge. The question is not about, whether your device is advts free but whether it is secured. Privacy and Security are like the two Eyes of any digital device. Mac and iOS deliver this to a greater extent ( though not completely ) than Android and Windows. But, many of us can't afford Apple products. To be precise, if I can afford an iPhone I'll not be here speaking about Android. Presuming Google can make Android into a Closed Eco-System this might be possible to a greater degree. But, Android licensing will not permit Google to do so. Now, Google has started removing apps that steal our information. Apps that steal information are the ones that are FREE. Consumers who choose Android One devices are those who are annoyed of advts and bloatware. You can choose any brand of Android device if it serves your purpose. I am not a fan of Android or Apple. Needless to say every digital device tracks plenty of user statistics. Manufacturers manufacture goods and sells them to earn money. They are not philanthropists. Being a Business Management graduate, I'd call manufacturers as consumers because they consume our money. They are the actual FANS of us ( Consumers ). Why should I be a fan of any of them? I've grown enough to accept and digest the facts of life. Try to understand all the hidden facts behind things within your reach and try to help the world with the lessons learnt. I think I've written a lot. Everything can't be discussed here. Good Luck.

Yet some brands do collect data and sell to advertising companies or other phone makers about how users use their devices... BLU, Micromax & Wiko is well known for selling data using the app adups! So only saying Xiaomi does it is false when no Trojan like adups have been found... Tecno is another brand that shows ads and collect the data from the user with a Trojan, my final question to you is this... Does Xiaomi sound as bad as the other 4? Xiaomi devices have not been found to harbor any built in Trojan that collect data from its user base at all!

it really good phone for this price..and i m big fan of Nokia..i have already 3 phone..Nokia..5 Nokia 6 and now 7.2...have to say...Nokia built quality superb and day by day experience..very good...i love ittttt.good luck nokia

I love Nokia but with 300$ I could get pocophone with snapdragon 845Every device has its own sets of Pros and Cons including Google's Pixel devices. The first and last question would be, what you are going to ultimately do with your device. Don't think too much for anything in life because life is too short. If you are a rich person there is no problem. You can keep on shuffling devices. Question arises when there is budgetary constraint. There is nothing called "The finest budget device". Think accordigly, choose one and try to be happy with it. There are plenty of other things to care and to worry about in life. Just care about your mobile device in the manner you care for your tooth brush.

Dewo, 12 Nov 2019Thanks man.. but I thought 8.1 is also an Android one deviceYes android one device with 100% pure stock android UI.. if you willing to purchase 8.1 I would suggest you not to update it on android 10 now.. wait for few weeks.. theres lot pf bugs currently on android 10 on nokia 8.1..

But, I have said that this device Nokia 7.2 is not up to the mark. To be honest, I like Pure Android devices against other Custom UI Android devices. Also, I have made comparisons only between Nokia 7.2 and Mi A3. Everything in this world can't be discussed. There is no point in complaining Google because the Android System is designed in a manner it is now. To be on the safer side let us leave things positively as you've said. Above all, do you mean to say that all the FREE apps are safer. Why APPLE don't entertain most of the free Apps like Google? Above all, the mere fact is that we are all forced to use these smart devices because we need it desperately.

Xiaomi Mi A3 comes with Android One which mean near stock UI and it cannot be altered by the Xiaomi like putting ads or something like that.

Both Motorola One Vision and Action are Android One phones so it will get the same updates as Nokia phones which 2 years for OS and 3 years for security.
And there is nothing special about everything you say about Nokia's camera features or the Zeiss name on it, let me show you what GSMARENA think about your beloved Nokia 7.2 camera.
"Daylight image quality out of the Nokia 7.2s main cam is a bit disappointing, considering what we've come to expect from similar (and similarly priced) hardware. Detail is decent, but there's a fair share of noise, which we've mostly gotten used to not seeing recently. Colors are off too and there's a noticeable green tint, particularly to the highlights. Dynamic range isn't great either, and that's one area where Quad Bayers should excel."
And just for a comparison this is what they said about Motorola One Vision camera.
"The 12MP photos we shot with the camera's default settings - meaning in Auto HDR - turned out pretty good. They have excellent detail, low noise levels, and lively and accurate colors. The dynamic range is excellent, too. The processing could use some tuning though, as sometimes it messes up intricate details - such as grass or the lattice windows"

They make a a tone of money out of it actually. Think about the fact that this guys actually are selling nothing, but give free android, free services and free store, free search engine and so on. Most of their income comes out of people data. They mostly build a profile of it's users. How they behave, what they search or are interested in, what they believe in, where they work, eat and so on. Your profile will be given to other companies for money, of course... Mostly this companies are using your data to manipulate your perception of what you want, yeah they sell and users buy. Or better said: they are the product and you are the buyer. This are not the only ones buying data. There can be Universities that need this data for research or statistiks. And of course from time to time, we sadly find out another "issue" that is not punished.

Probably resumes at what you believe and zero facts or real inside, or school, or trained, or learned knowlege... As i said, i do not want to be rude, but you kinda force me. First of all, learn before you talk will make more sense and you will probably stop talking so much nonsense.

You be with anyone as you like. Now, coming to your doubt as to how and when a device is tracked; - From the very moment you login with your Google account on a new Android device your entire data on your phone is not private and secured. Do you know the definition of BUG? A BUG is something that bites and eats away your resources. The entire Android System is a BUG in itself. Do a thorough analysis as to what are the resources which are being bitten and eaten by it. As you are on the field, I think this will not be difficult for you. Needless to say DATA is everyone's first and foremost resource. Above all, I truly believe that NOKIA is your first and only resource.

Well, no assistent, but less tracking. And there are some other tricks to be done for a better privacy managament. Like installing a trustworthy data-blocker.

I... moreNokia is probably safer when it comes to privacy than Xiaomi but still all devices have Google crap pre-installed with no sure fire way to disable them... Best bet to stop tracking location is to disable/uninstall Chrome the latter if you know how and then disable GPS, yet that will not be enough oh no google services and play store also track ya. ^_^ (wanna stay of the grid? Get a Nokia 3310 original 2G phone without colours... OwO)

Now, to you comment, every Android ... moreI mean what tracking you are talking about Google tracking is different then your chinese phones. Google track data for better user experience such as only for their products that is Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search etc.
But chinese companies actually sells your data to third party and get some profit which they exclude from you when you purchase your device. You will not even know which third party they are selling your data and how will they use. If you still like your chinese phones go buy it don't come here to give a comment. Nokia HMD is a european brand and thats why all nokia phones are android one without bloatwares which constantly consumes your battery and show you unwanted ads.
