I don't have any friend, yet I regret my purchase. Since past 2 years, Nokia has not even launched a single FLAWLESS phone. 7 Plus, 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus has serious port issue. Some people have got it changed THRICE. 8 Sirocco had poorest of poor color calibration of screen. 2019's 6.2 and 7.2 were crazily over-priced.
Any more explanation needed? You were very less of the few who didn't had any charging port issue. Otherwise, your friend would have been laughing at you till now
Motorola initially promised only ONE software upgrade for its flagship. So, there is no point comparing any phones in terms of software upgrades with Moto.

Try checking the "opinions" on the 6.1 Plus pr the recently uploaded article on Nokia 7 Plus. The users will tell you the reality.
And even Xiaomi has better optimised OS than Nokia. Yes advertisements are there. Still, the software feels much more smooth than the one on Nokias
And just hallucinating that Xiaomi collects user's data and send it to China won't work. There is no evidence for it. Yes, the browser did send some data, but same happened with Nokia 7 Plus, too. Isn't it?

I have also tried gcam 6.3 and even 7.0 both works.
My friend have moto phone even with better processor which is at sd625 cant install it because his phone have still android Android 8.1 we have bought it on same month in 2017 he was laughing at me at that time since he was having better processor on same price.
Now guess what iam laughing on him since my phone can take better pictures with new gcam and can install many apps which he cant due to low software support. Even my phone is still running smooth.
He can install gcam too but lower version since he have android 8.1
So any more explanation needed?

For midrange amoled they are not actual oled they are cheap.

Software is Nokia's strongpoint. Nokia is all about stock AOSP Android, that's what makes it stand out from the rest. Perhaps you should go look up other people's experiences with this phone.
Perhaps I take your words to be true, but that does NOT make this Nokia worse than some Xiaomi phone. Xiaomi is the absolute worst for putting advertisements in their phone, for stealing user's data without their consent, and not to mention they always can't get their camera software right. And generally, MiUI is a joke compared to AOSP.

Chill guys, they're just phones lol. The best phone is the phone that has the features that you personally want. No one is wrong for picking a particular brand over the other.

I'm using Nokia 6.1 plus. This could have been a great phone. I faced all the mentioned issues. Charging port and the restarting. I really wanna know how did you guys unlock your bootloader? Through paid service or for free and if free then how?

So, according to you, every phone has a problem. A big NO. When Samsung had a battery problem, it had recalled the devices. Similarly, when competing on a global scale, you cannot afford to have any hardware problem. Software can be managed with OTAs, but 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus had a serious design flaw wherein the charging port was bigger than the connector itself.
When someone purchased this phone back in 2018, it was one of the capable mid-ranger with great specifications. So managing heavy apps must not be the problem. And my LineageOS has no problem in running heavy apps. It's inexperience of Nokia's employees that such a software exist.
You can't ask a user not to install any compatible app. Heavy apps can lag, crash, etc. But phone restart is terrible. Nokia should have told the world that "our software can't handle heavy operations. Kindly refrain yourself before trusting us." Then I wouldn't be having any problem.

Looks about the same as the 7.2 but now with a punch-hole front camera and a 5G Snapdragon 600 series chipset. Looks interesting, this could be a worthy cheaper lower midrange alternative to the 8.3 5G.

It's been 2 years 1 mo... morefirst of all, I'm not trying to win an argument. second, I'm sorry for the false of 3 years of update, after I look for information and ask my father. and third, I ask my father about the software on Nokia 6.1 plus he said it performs really well, not terrible. as long as you don't have heavy apps, it will not affect the performance. so software is not really a problem. beside I check on most people complain about 6.1 plus for charging issues. but my dad seems to have no problem with it. every phone has a problem and there's a way to solve the clue. you just have to be patient with your phone.

Most of the Nokia phones are o... morego on. keep comparing to Chinese. just like when someone sees a phone and then start comparing with a Chinese phone who got government support so they make amazing Performance at a cheap price. stop. every phone company except Chinese is not being supported. they work alone to try to reach success. ofc Chinese also do that but they got easy to improve because being supported.
