MK92, 14 Nov 2017Always loved Nokia. Had been waiting for this phone to launch. I bought it on day 1. Big mist... morewell you are the only one with this problems, might be that getting hot is something for you that you do not understand or i do not know... But is metal, and through it's body it releases heat, it is actually well designed cause metal cool fast and keeps internals at bay.
Always loved Nokia. Had been waiting for this phone to launch. I bought it on day 1.
Big mistake. Regretting now.
Right after 1 week, I started facing the issue of heating even with simple app use like WhatsApp, forget other heavy gaming apps. The battery life was pathetic and I got a max backup of 9-10 hours hardly.
Submitted the phone at service center and after 10 days, finally got it back. This issue was resolved. Yeeeaaaa
But that's not it. No I have a different problem. The phone heats up like a frying pan when I try taking pics, not even talking about videos.
The "bokeh" mode is completely gone and no matter at what level I keep the "bokeh" scale, there is no depth effect. Plus, while trying to take pics in "bokeh" mode, the phone reaches next level of getting heated. Hardly 2-3 pics and the phone gets super hot near the camera.
Worst phone I ever bought. Regretting my decision of going for Nokia. Really disappointed

lojza, 13 Nov 2017Nokia 8, no ! Little older HW, nut price is lower, in CZ now in action Samsung under 385Euro, ... moreLol that's stupid. From which perspective you find the hardware older. Get some life dude its SD 835.
Just Amazing. It's manufactured by the same manufacturer as the IPhone X or all other Iphones. Yet No issues reported, whereas the Samsungs and Iphones which are ripping people off have bugs. Really people. Seriously, who is giving you a stable product worth the money?
Egash Josh, 13 Nov 2017 Do people still root phones??? Android software has progressed nowdays with many features you... moreRooting access = ADMINISTRATOR rights.
Which means I'm not using the phone in guest mode. If you think that rooting is only to flash some roms, then you should stick to guest mode.
You can even perform DOS on rooted phones. No, I'm not talking about the old-school os. :D
This means that if you buy the phone just to upload selfies of fb and play silly games, you definitely shouldn't try to root your phone. You're gonna cry like a baby after you bricked it.
Warning! Rooting requires a brain!

Common sense, 04 Nov 2017Unimpressive for 2017
Nokia need to up their game to compete with the Samsungs.Overall it has good specs but I see no reason to choose this over the XZ Premium. In fact I'd choose the XZP without blinking.
Can you root Nokia phones? Do they offer bootloader unlocking on their official website like Sony does?
If i cannot root a phone I might as well buy a crapple and get it over with.
