I used mine for years and it was great for calls / sms / listening to music.

Better buy something that has a simple OS, not bloated with Goog... moreI bought this when, i was waiting for a new battery to arrive for my smart phone . I live in an isolated country town. I regard it just as an emergency phone, in case i had some accident on my bike, so phone is less likely to damage. It is only good for calls, or the simple text sms.I would not contemplate using it for applications , maps etc etc. Just good for phone, in that sense, it is far better than my very old iphone, louder more clear, but then my iphone is probably has damage speakers or microphone , what-ever.

This could make for a good phone one day if your on a hike. Or maybe on a trip. I do love that it has Kai OS. I love this operating system despite right now I'm using android 11.

It's hard for me to understand the appeal of this phone, especially with that KaiOS software. If you really want to do a digital detox, go for a less popular mobile OS without Google. That's where you can learn to live with limited app availability or functionality.

you can use either 2 Sim Cards or 1 Sim and 1 Memory card. 2 slots available that's it.
you can connect via micro-USB-Cable to a windows engine and transfer mp3 files with explorer easily.
you can connect to a Laptop with bluetooth connection (scan and connect) and exchange files.

nokia 800 mailbox function: missing instructions, how to ...
When pressing key1 (Mailbox) on the phone, a message says "no mailbox number available".
Mailbox-Numbers are supportet by your provider, example: m-budget +41794997979.
Open the Menü "Contacts" open a Contact by scrolling down, right key "Options" klick, scroll down to "settings" klick, scroll down to "shortnumbers" klick, choose key1, enter the number supported by your provider. Safe. Return and test pressing key1, if your mailbox has been activated by your provider you will hear safed messages or instructions. Prepaid phone will charge listening to the mailbox, no charge by Abos.
Help was not found in the nokia 800 instructions manual! so I posted this shor guide.

The software is an ultimate disaster. It switches off by itself (though the device is fully charged) unexpectedly for no apparent reason (causing important incoming calls unanswered on a number of occasions). Looking for a contact in the Contacts search box is an ordeal due to very slow response time to keys.

Nokia x200 user, 01 Nov 2021Actually i was thinking to buy the newer small nokia phone that has 4g comunication. You should really think if you need KaiOS crap. Better go with simple os phones. It's not that Nokia anymore, it's better to buy 33010 the old one from those days if you want to detox or just have a pure communication!

Works prefectly, no lags. I was just trying for couple of days to see if I was wrong about Nokia 800, but after alarm was not working AGAIN this morning, I threw it out of the window... literary I mean :) You know when the alarm started to work? When "woke" up the phone and pressed the buttons. I think alarm was stuck :D Seriously, this has been before.
But, anyways, the story is that this is a 100 EUR crap I bought to have it with me when I am kayaking with my son or hiking in the hills. Nah... thanks, but I go with simple and fast solution that I bought. Sorry guys, I am just complaining here... But I want to tell this so you others do not fall for that marketing trick that this is the most durable and best "dumbphone" ever. Stop being a marketing product, if you buy it and want to try, buy online, so you can return it!

The phone is crap. Seriously. Better buy something that has a simple OS, not bloated with Google crap. Ask yourself "Why I am downgrading to a dumbphone with Facebook, Whatsapp, Google, YouTube?". I was looking for a purity, I bought, but... men... there are bugs all over the place, phone is restarting once in a while and glitching, navigating through functions is laggy and delayed, to write an sms is a nightmare, just to get to writing, you need to expect lagging menu, delays in getting contact from a contact book etc. Seriously, do not go into the trap of people telling that this is the minimalist, detox blah blah phone. It sucks!

Found a good use for my Nokia tough, it is now used as a great door stop,as my door has no lock, I shave it under the gap it fits lovely, stop's my 5 yo coming in when i have a nap in the daytime, so thank you Nokia for such a useful handy tough phone, many regards from a happy Nokia customer.
