solly85, 02 Mar 2013hello guys which is really better Sony Xperia p or Nokia 808 pls any body help
Xperia P is just fine for entry level phone into Android world. Runs on ICS and that means laggy. Really. Worse, it only has 16gb of memory and no microsd slot. Real dealbreaker.
Has the same screen size and almost same dimensions with the 808.
And don't even ask about their cameras. 808 has that way out of this world.
The only advantages it has over the mighty 808 are way more tons of apps and games. Especially Skype video call which the 808 oddly will never have.
808 has Symbian OS, still the best OS in the world. Never lags. And has perfected multitasking.
Don't waste your money on the Xperia P.
My nokia music subscription got attached to my new lumia 920 as I used same id that I was using for my 808.
I started redeeming my nokia music subscription using oxi cash vouchers on my808.
But iit's not getting activated.what to do?
Any apps to have folders in the gallery.any app to open password protected files?
I asked this question many times on this forum but no answer till now.

In terms of usability, features, and performance, Symbian almost doesn't forget anything. In fact there are some features and performance that are available in Symbian does not exist in other OSes.
is this mbl back body (door) is STEEL or fiber? Steel like Nokia c6-01.
bigbite87, 28 Feb 2013hi there carol.. Yeah i tried some of your suggestions and mr.karoshi is funny indeed.. :) ye... moreStrange, i don't have battery drainage with belle extra buttons... with it or without it, my phone consumes the same amount of energy. 4mA average in standby.
Dear all, I've been reading all the previous posts and one thing bothers me "cpu clock rate, ram size etc...etc...." I mean what is the benifit of having quad core processor or 1gb ram if you cann't use them. N8 with lower clock rate and lower ram is still the best. It never hangs, it never lags so what else you guys want? I think processors are made for only one work "processing the information". So a single core processor does the same work quad core or dual core do. How much power of phone you can use? Will you open dozons of apps and use them? No. We we can do is we open 4-5 apps and use them. So this can be done with lower clockrate and ram. N8 does it like a charm. Symbian is optimized for lower hardware. It can run smoothely over 400 mhz cpu and 128 mb ram and it will never disappoint you. Other os even can't dream about that.
So as for me, hardware configuration is not a big deal. The big deal is an os which can utilize every inch of hardware which Symbian can do, not android or ios. I only need better performance, no matter how it comes.
I am not saying that having dual core or quad core phones is a bad thing. Just go and grab what suits your needs. Choose by your own mind, not by others.
Nillkin hard case for Nokia 808 PV, I think it is one of the best:
Carol, 28 Feb 2013I posted some apps bellow. Nobody seems to mind them:))hi there carol.. Yeah i tried some of your suggestions and mr.karoshi is funny indeed.. :)
