Up until now I couldn't understand Nokia wouldn't develop quality apps and HD games on my 808. Prime examples are Skype video call and Asphalt 7, to name a hundred more. I'm very much sure the 808's processor and RAM can handle all the apps that have been developed for Android and iOS.
My 808 kinda became stagnant now and I'm sure even new software updates for it wouldn't compensate for the terrible lack of quality apps that could be made for it.
I'm seriously considering getting a Razr i or a Lumia 820 to replace my 808. Probably the Lumia 820 coz it's Nokia and for it's hardware design. The only drawback is that Symbian has perfected true and real multitasking compared to any other OSes. But the lack of quality and much needed apps and games are surefire reasons to replace it another phone.
Btw, the 808 browser might be very much ok but it's still way off compared to all and any other OSes.
This 808 isn't anymore highly recommended for 2013 use. Sad.
Bought my Nokia 808 Pureview today , and I upgraded to Feature Pack 2 ; It was a good deal since the phone was priced at 390 USD here so it's certainly a bargain
Regarding the feature , it's really good and smooth compared to the Nokia N8 and the camera is hands down the best camera ever used in a phone and regarding the smartphone features they are good and the 808 performs great
I recommend it to anyone !

You can try Blurry circle by daeva112 (if you like colors). I has transparent elements (which i love, but i don't like colors so much, black would have been better for me:)), and it is quite speedy to. http://store.ovi.com/content/303516?clickSource=publisher+channel&channel=&pos=9
Or you can try this if you like black: http://store.ovi.com/content/330282?clickSource=publisher+channel&channel=&pos=8
Also, Blade it is only a young guy: i think he is 19 or something. But a good theme designer. You can try hi's new themes. The firs is nothing new but, it's a mix between meego theme and carla. http://store.ovi.com/content/341933?clickSource=publisher+channel&channel=&pos=2
The second is a free theme dedicated to Symbian-developers forum.

RODJ, 14 Jan 2013hi carol can you give me advice? I knew that this is Nokia page but then help me with this. My... moreWe start badly because you have no freedom of choice! Or one or the other.
It's intuitive that all the friends of the forum here will recommend you the 808, without be wrong of course. This would be certainly and definitely my personal choice also.
The problem in your case, in my opinion, if you're interested, is that both devices failed to meet expectations even to their fanatical followers, (as it contrary happened with the two previous gs2 and iph4s). Because both devices are expensive i recommend you to "wait" till something else will be released.
However 808 is unique and xllent sample of hardware and technology
hi carol, today i have set carla v2 theme just WOW SUPERB MINDBLOWING from my heart to the creators of this lovely theme,,,if you know more themes like this please waste your time to know us.thanks
I've owned smartphones for 7 years now since 2006, my first one was PalmTreo 650, then N96 (great multimedia and first one ever to have a digital TV tuner! play/record scheduled TV on your phone - god bless nokia!), then E7 (QWERTY oh my god!) and finaly now THE N8! All the phones have never let down. I've recently upgraded my E7 & N8 to Belle OS and OH MY GOD it is phenomenal! (except for the browser but I'll get to that later). Imagine the OS that was designed for a 600Mhz Single Core CPU with 256Mb of RAM running now (on the 808) on 1.3GHz CPU with 512Mb!!! The OS literaly flies! PERFECTION. and I'm not even gona talk about the Camera (I'm not worthy of talking about the DSLR that's been squashed into this piece of technological ART. Amen, bless nokia.

Please use some Symbian before talking rubbish.
RODJ, 14 Jan 2013hi carol can you give me advice? I knew that this is Nokia page but then help me with this. My... moreWhat?? Is like they force you to buy what they want?:))))))))))))). Anyway, let's say that this is normal:-?? and to answer a bit to your question which won't be very interesting...
I don't know! What do you like to have? Iphone is a highly restricted device (you cannot even send a file via bluetooh, any file) while s3 is very unlocked (you can get some malware, etc)
S3: from 12 to 36 hours battery
Iphone5: from 12 to 36
S3 Camera: nothing impressive
Iphone 5: The same.
S3: internet speed (almost the same with ip5, but ip5 doesn't support adobe flash, also, i don't know if the new android fw still supports adobe flash)
S3: big device and crappy quality (allot of slim plastic, can brake quite fast)
ip5: not so big and more resistent (made of anodized aluminum and glass, a Nokia idea)
S3: signal may be better then iphone5 but this i really don't know. I'll say Nokia put's a shame on them both.
Ear speakers and in ear phones quality i don't know. But as far as i listened to S3 music player and original in-ear-headphones... didn't made me happy, quite at all. Compared to my old buddy N8 sound quality. To much noise, to less bass.
Apps. nothing to talk about. Both have a large s**tload of apps.
ip5: has no desktop, it is a pretty much a very simple smartphone (to simple for allot of geek users, i say that it is made more for in-experienced users... it is to darn simple for me)
S3: android on the other hand is not simple, it is not very complicated, but is messy. A fact that makes it more customizable for personal preferences and you can also set more desktops.
Android vs Ios? Symbian all the way:))).
Both have pros and cons (of course)
IoS - highly optimized. Works quite good and lag-less
and doesn't require so much useless hardware.
Android: on the other hand needs a quad-core cpu to run at least smoother then was running before. But it is still a bit laggy and crashes sometimes on apps (nothing to worry to much, all smartphones go freeze from time to time), also, with this hardware is gonna eat more battery then a normal smartphone. No matter what they say.
Overall? I won't be buying none of them. I don't like IOS and Apple in general. And i don't like Android, especially on a Samsung cheap a** device... At the end, it is your choice. Not mine, and this is only my opinion. You can ask this to others. If you go to Samsung: all will say to buy it. If you go to apple, all will say to buy it cause it is better then Samsung:))). Just go in a store and put them head to head. See what you like. i'd buy 808 :)))). Also you can search problem in internet with this devices so you can now what to expect...
Carol, 14 Jan 2013You're welcomehi carol can you give me advice? I knew that this is Nokia page but then help me with this. My parent decide to buy me a new phone they give me choices Samsung Galaxy S3 and Iphone 5. But i cant decide. Will you help me, please ..
