Amir, 13 Jan 2013nokia was the best now nokia can't be a good competitive against Android or Apple Symbian is... moreHey man... first use, then talk. You heard it is slow and now you come here and talk mumbo jumbo? from s^3 nothing is slow anymore and this device here with 1.3 ghz cpu is quite a bada**... Please use some Symbian before talking rubbish.
AnonD-96039, 14 Jan 2013hi carol can you give me advice? I knew that this is Nokia page but then help me with this. My... moreWhat?? Is like they force you to buy what they want?:))))))))))))). Anyway, let's say that this is normal:-?? and to answer a bit to your question which won't be very interesting...
I don't know! What do you like to have? Iphone is a highly restricted device (you cannot even send a file via bluetooh, any file) while s3 is very unlocked (you can get some malware, etc)
S3: from 12 to 36 hours battery
Iphone5: from 12 to 36
S3 Camera: nothing impressive
Iphone 5: The same.
S3: internet speed (almost the same with ip5, but ip5 doesn't support adobe flash, also, i don't know if the new android fw still supports adobe flash)
S3: big device and crappy quality (allot of slim plastic, can brake quite fast)
ip5: not so big and more resistent (made of anodized aluminum and glass, a Nokia idea)
S3: signal may be better then iphone5 but this i really don't know. I'll say Nokia put's a shame on them both.
Ear speakers and in ear phones quality i don't know. But as far as i listened to S3 music player and original in-ear-headphones... didn't made me happy, quite at all. Compared to my old buddy N8 sound quality. To much noise, to less bass.
Apps. nothing to talk about. Both have a large s**tload of apps.
ip5: has no desktop, it is a pretty much a very simple smartphone (to simple for allot of geek users, i say that it is made more for in-experienced users... it is to darn simple for me)
S3: android on the other hand is not simple, it is not very complicated, but is messy. A fact that makes it more customizable for personal preferences and you can also set more desktops.
Android vs Ios? Symbian all the way:))).
Both have pros and cons (of course)
IoS - highly optimized. Works quite good and lag-less
and doesn't require so much useless hardware.
Android: on the other hand needs a quad-core cpu to run at least smoother then was running before. But it is still a bit laggy and crashes sometimes on apps (nothing to worry to much, all smartphones go freeze from time to time), also, with this hardware is gonna eat more battery then a normal smartphone. No matter what they say.
Overall? I won't be buying none of them. I don't like IOS and Apple in general. And i don't like Android, especially on a Samsung cheap a** device... At the end, it is your choice. Not mine, and this is only my opinion. You can ask this to others. If you go to Samsung: all will say to buy it. If you go to apple, all will say to buy it cause it is better then Samsung:))). Just go in a store and put them head to head. See what you like. i'd buy 808 :)))). Also you can search problem in internet with this devices so you can now what to expect...
Carol, 14 Jan 2013You're welcomehi carol can you give me advice? I knew that this is Nokia page but then help me with this. My parent decide to buy me a new phone they give me choices Samsung Galaxy S3 and Iphone 5. But i cant decide. Will you help me, please ..
Anonymous, 14 Jan 2013hello carol thank you for the informationYou're welcome
AnonD-78383, 13 Jan 2013Can you use the Xenon Flash while recording video? 808 has a LED light as well which helps with focus and night light for video recording. Xenon technology is limited to a quick burst of light.
AnonD-78383, 13 Jan 2013Can you use the Xenon Flash while recording video? no but there is a led light for that

Symbian is... moreBeside OS, it is the combination of Processor, GPU, and RAM that makes a phone faster or slower.
If only Nokia equipped N8 or 808PV with an equal specs like Droid (1,5GB Processor, Powerful GPU, 2GB RAM, and 2300 mAh Battery) it will surely beat that battery hungry's OS anytime.
"Belle OS" is the lattest from Symbian, smooth and fast (much better than S60, Sym3, and Anna). Whether we like it or not Belle is the best OS ever created in phone history (Amazing Multi Tasking, Very Capable, Mature, Rich with features, and User Friendly, and Power efficient). In fact, Belle can do everything that other OSes can do (and cannot do).

And it is quite big to. So if you want a camera. Go for something better (Canon, Nikon, Panasonic), my opinion. As for the macro. Yes, it is strange that the 808 has a fixed macro, so has the N8. But i didn't know that 808 has the same. Maybe this limitation is because of some politics. I don't know... But i don't think it is cause of the sensor...
just got this beauty yesterday. Sold my n8. This is ann amaizing phone with lots of features and good processing speed. And the best camera.

I found that in close up pics 808 doesn't have enough focus so it gets blurry as you zoom the taken pics !in that case sgcamera is better ! It also have optical zoom ! I hope with magnetic macro lense 808 ll b better in macros ! Thx for visiting ;) get it from nokia store/ nokia priority dealer, u ll get a nice guide book, also download PhoTips from nokia store !
I have paid rs. 24500
for it.Good camera and sound quality.but lot of demerit like -
1.Continious af not working well.
2.Nothing new apps when compare to n8.
Same slow 3.adobe reader and old flash player version.
4.Didn't get otg cable and hdmi cable in box.
5.Symbian doesn't support wifi and bluetooth hotspot.
6.No new hd game.
7.Poor resolution screen.
8.micro sim card support only.
9.heavy compare to others.
I am also a nokia fan.but this phone does not fulfill my needs.it just a good multimedia phone.
So It's time to move to some other like samsung ,sony, apple.
Waiting for galaxy s4,sony xperia zl and apple I phone 5s.
Hope I will be happy with any of these phone.
AnonD-2665, 13 Jan 2013http://www.flickr.com/photos/gitty3/ check my shots ;)i'm not impressed.. I'm sorry. :)
AnonD-2665, 13 Jan 2013yes true because SGCamera is more like a professional camera and 808 is a phone :)Well, let's not give to much credit to that camera. It is just a point and shot camera for daily usage. Nothing impresive and for shore nothing professional about it. 808 has a way better sensor but laks oprics. Which are quite important for the sensor. But, as you said... It is a phone. Anyway, nice pics there:). How you use your 808 to get a pic? In custom mode or in default scense, auto mode?
