I hope that software updates will be available via ota...
Richard, 03 Jan 2013Hi peeps! Please do not install software from sites and developers that are not trusted..espe... moreMaybe the theme wasn't compatible? I had my old S60v3 Symbian freeze when I tried a Symbian ^3 theme (but I switched to a normal theme in Jbak TaskMan). Both were .sis files but when I opened them I saw that Nokia changed the vector graphics format.
Have Nokia fix the issues on this Update-
1) Multi select option on galary
2) Font camera image capture
2) Bluetooth issue in some device
3) 3G data(crash) and sign(not showing 3.5G shows) bug on some device
4) Google maps compatibility
What are the change-log
Please reply me.......
Please do not install software from sites and developers that are not trusted..especially when the phone warns you. Some day I installed some themes from some crazy site and now my phone is dead. I have tried all I could to regain even the data in there but all in vain.
life goes on but I am obviously sad to imagine that the loss is so much just for the silly themes I downloaded. I am now torn apart between 808 and Lumia 920.
But somehow, I shall decide before Easter..in the meantime I keep on encouraging peeps to only download and install safe content....please.
Carol, 03 Jan 2013Yes... i've read something about this, here on gsmarena. And yes, this Ubuntu sounds a stolen ... moreWhen we were talking about cheating from Nokia and the bad management...... you had argued that the essential backbone of android was linux plus something from Symbian and/or other os's. Maybe this article its to long but i've prefered to post it as it was so you (or other friend from the forum) could notice details that might refering to linux-meego-symbian or other os.
No case for advertising android, quite the opposite!!!
AnonD-92342, 03 Jan 2013What is this bullshit crap novel have to do with 808? I don't even see any mention of 808 or S... moreYes, i dont care also about android and other os (WP_OS included) but you're not informed what we are talking about (me and our friend Carol)and also the reason that i've posted this article, so dont say "nobody cares" and dont be aggressive. Btw i use Nokia more than 15 years and as a N8 user last 2 years its intuitive i like Symbian.

And yes, this Ubuntu sounds a stolen MeeGo/ now Jolla Sailfish idea, with an android kernel that in fact is an Linux kernel. But i don't understand why this would confirm my conspiracy's? What exactly from this article, makes you be shore it makes my conspiracy a true story?

Good morning Carol&have a nice day,
I'm sure you remember the conversation about linux maemo and android (copy in a test a take more points from your friend you've copied from :))))))))))
So, here is the proof, it was not just your theory and conspiracy but officialy its more than correct all the things you have said:
Today i saw an article so i'm sending it to you translated from greek to english with googletranslate. However i'm sending to you also the adress so you can find it original and translate whatever you think its important:

It really depends on your 808's product code. If your product code is listed at Navifirm, chances are you will get it soon thru Nokia Suie. But why wait? If you could get the latest firmware at Navifirm, download it and use Phoenix. Still the best and fastest way to update for Nokia phones.
AnonD-2665, 03 Jan 2013I didn't ask how to update, I ask because I thought u got it in ur phones software update opti... moreI don't think it has something to do with Phoenix. This pogram is an advaced tool made by Nokia for it's Care departament. So, when you take it back to update, they will use Phoenix for that. Your problem maybe came along with c. Fw.... or ir was just an illusion or something....

I used it to update my n8 with CF. ! But CF affected cam. Quality so wont do that with my 808
AnonD-2665, 03 Jan 2013where r u from ? I m from india, checked but no new update Get it from Navifirm and use Phoenix to update. This is the best way to update with new software. Please don't ask me how to do these things. Waiting for it in Nokka Suite could take some time.
I'm happy Nokia's still updating my 808 even if it's just a minor one. I actually expect the 808 to at least get another major update. The 808 engine can handle a major update. Symbian Carla, maybe. Just a glimmer of hope, though.
yemko, 02 Jan 2013hey! ATTENTION NEEDED HERE... No one should update to the sudden unannounced latest firmw... moreYeah, right. Nokia's not that stupid.
