Even though some of the last comments are actually technical issues regarding Nokia 808 pureview, I'm gonna buy it today. I hope it won't disappoint me and work well. After the wait of 4 months, 808pv will be in my hand.

Is there a way to update my non Canadian model to not crash/freeze when using internet in Canada(Rogers Wireless)? My software is fully up to date. SW 113.010.1506, Browser version 8.3, Flash 4.0 and Java 2.5

I bought an unlocked model and it freezes all the time when on the internet, very dissapionting. would be perfect without the freezing.

So I not tried Phoenix. All other(format,full firmware reinstall, sim change,etc)methods are tried. Currently I'm using another sim card from another service provider, it's working perfectly but not showing 3.5G sign. Now it crashed only 2 times in 3 days. I think it's a bug in firmware.

Leave the find my position on, it is needed. I use only the maps. Open it, i wait for it to find my position, as i've said earlier. Now i search the address i'm looking for. press on that address hit navigate, select: drive here or walk here. ANd that's it. I'm on my way:)

I jus got my 808 sterday... I am getting a notification saying Sim memory is full. Pl... moreHey, you have probably used a old phone that stored messages in your sim card. Now, i don't know if 808 interface is change to much, and presuming that it isn't, try this path to delete your simcard messages. Or to copy them into phone memory and delete them afterwords. So go: messaging/ options (the right button from the screen)/ View folders/ options(again)/ SIM messages. There should be messages that you would probably don't need, delete them all, or a part of them until there is no notification anymore. This can maybe be a contacts full notification, though i doubt...
there is no setting that need to be enabled. Be shore that you have Nokia suite installed and also the phone plug-ins installed for the charge to work. Also if don't whant to install nokia suite you can go to: Settings/connectivity/USB/... there will be 4 options to select as default action for USB connector. Mass storage/ Media transfer/ Nokia suite and use phone as a modem. Just select mass storage and plug the phone in your pc. Will be recognized as a usb storage device and will charge to.

Also i never tried this with e-mail. Go to settings/default applications/Browsing internet (change to opera). Now press options/advanced options/scroll down and change Open application xhtml+xml, to opera/ open text html to opera to. That is all that you can do. There is no other solution, that i know, If this doesn't work...

how can i know if its the gps that has a problem? i want to test ans see if gps is working fine?

Hi All,
I jus got my 808 sterday... I am getting a notification saying Sim memory is full. Please let me know what has to be done to fix this. Also when I connect to my phone to my system through USB cable I am not sure if t is chargin or not, please let me know if there is any settings which has to be changed to enable charging thro USB.
