Marketing / Product managers to be FIRED.
AnonD-2665, 05 Jul 2012same as me, nokia 808 or samsung galaxy note ! I found solution ! I ll buy nokia 808 and later... moreThat's a great idea..!! Thumbs up Gitty..!! :) I hope it will be possible in Sri Lanka too..
Nokia user, 05 Jul 2012I'm having a X6 and I was hopeing to buy this phone.. Bt android made me think twice.. Symbian... moresame as me, nokia 808 or samsung galaxy note ! I found solution ! I ll buy nokia 808 and later i ll buy cheap google nexus 7 tab. Only 199 usd :p
I'm having a X6 and I was hopeing to buy this phone.. Bt android made me think twice.. Symbian is better than android and no two words about it, because android eats the battery life like a devil.. But symbian doesn't get much updates now as nokia have sold their soul to Microsoft..!! Bt if this continues, Nokia will be in hell..!! Now I don't know what to do.. Whether to buy the Samsung Galaxy SIII or HTC One X or Nokia 808 or else Nokia Lumia 900
AnonD-49846, 05 Jul 2012For a while this phone had me excited. Unfortunately not as excited as my N8. I cant deny the ... moreyes right ! I have same thoughts like u have ! Buy it only if u r a camera lover ! Everythng else is same as N8 ! I dont think price of 808 will decrease !
XtamatiC, 05 Jul 2012Stupid idea, useless to put a camera that big into it a phone. The photo sizes would be massiv... morei think some people like u who never used this phone in their hands are supposed to write this type of comments..
Think before u write...
If u do'nt have sufficient knowledge about the technology then shut ur mouth....
XtamatiC, 05 Jul 2012Stupid idea, useless to put a camera that big into it a phone. The photo sizes would be massiv... morelearn more the pureview technology instead of bashing it and calling nokia crazy for putting such big sensor in a phone, it wouldn't save each pic as such big file, get your facts straight!
Stupid idea, useless to put a camera that big into it a phone. The photo sizes would be massive once saved and it only has a 16 GB internal. Nice try Nokia but you have completely lost it...
Put in a breath-a-lizer, or a USB port, or a Mirosoft Xbox link internally like the Sony Eric Play. DO something else besides going backwards in popularity...
Matt Out!
For a while this phone had me excited. Unfortunately not as excited as my N8. I cant deny the 808 is a great phone with unique features, but in the end its just more of the same. I was going to buy this phone but a few things have changed my mind:
1.Price is too high
2.Symbian OS is pretty much dead(which is a shame since it is a very capable OS), so I see no point of upgrading to another symbian device since it wont bring too many new things to the table.
Don't really understand the concept of bringing a phone with 41 MP camera..

Ikenna
meego,symbian,maemo + nokia the best
andriod fan boys does not know wat it is with tech this days, andriod requires much more power efficient chips 2 function and upon that it still lags, even the samsung galaxy s3 even is not as fliud as they say even having a quad core chipset, but symbian runs well and multitasks better than andriod.i use nokia n9 and am happy with it,tanks 2 nokia for the latest update.thumbs up nokia.
Am now a proud owner of Nokia 808 PureView in Abuja, Nigeria!
I got a call from the seller around 7pm today that two pieces arrived this afternoon. I qucikly got there & found two colours of the phone for sale in his shop: a black & a white colours. I paid & picked the black.
So anyother person in Abuja that is interested in the phone & likes the white colour should go & pick it before its too late. The shop is at Wuse II.
Am still charging the phone. Am yet to switch it on. But will do so as soon as the battery is full, to see & operate the treasure I have aquired.
Ikenna.
