It also supports higher resolutions than nHD 640X360. But Nokia gives nHD 640X360 and single core CPUs because Symbian can run much faster on 680 MHz CPU than 1.2 GHz dual core Android. And Nokia understands that quad cores are waste of battery power because Nokia is known for their best battery backup phones. Symbian was the first OS to have multitasking, megapixel cameras and CPU.

I agree Dual core is good to have in Phone to get a better GAMING experience depending on the OS.
But Quad-core is not required to get installed in mobile phone except to drain the battery.
After all.. Symbian BELLE the best OS which can give you superior experience in single core chips too... which is again COST efficient and POWER efficient.

Read again, dude. Check out the specs here in gsmarena before you post things. It has gorilla glass.
Looking for dual or quad core? For your information, android OS can not process 1080p video (record and play) properly if it is running on single core. In this phone, you can do just that. Record and play 1080p videos on a single core. Other brands using android is using its dual and quad core specs to sell their phones. Where in fact, android can not process properly 1080p videos on single cores. That's the painful truth about android.
As I said before, android is a promising OS and there is still a room for improvement. All OS has its pros and cons. Its up to the user to weigh this things and decide which one will suite his/her needs.
I like both android and symbian belle but in my own opinion (please respect my opinion), symbian belle is still better than android.
I already own SGS3 and I am very eager to get pureview. I will buy this phone even if I have to wait for a long time. Tried to buy pureview but I am unfortunate to get one. =(

i sent my Galaxy S3 back today and was hopeing to wait a while and buy the Nokia 808, but i have heard that none of the UK Networks will be selling it at all!!! WHY ???!!!

honestly i'm brainwashed by nokia, that i must agree. yes i know there better phones out there, but all in all..well i'll wait and watch. may be we're gonna make a comeback, who knows?

There is a lump in my throat and questions in my mind about Symbian (was it really at the point of being beyond being able to catch up to android and iOS, with apps and multi-core cpu's? microsoft is doing it), but I will just focus on the positive. Symbian has been a very loyal and trusted servant of mine - I have only ever owned one blackberry and four symbian phones, I kept going back to Symbian because it gave me the best bang for buck and the one time I went awry (blackberry), I was sorely disappointed. The 808 is a fitting send-off for such a great OS. Symbian, you will be missed - from all of the people who appreciate the new (dual and quad cores) as well as the old, where things started (Symbian has lots of firsts, eg the first 2mp camera), you will be missed. You are the one that has laid the foundation for which all others have used for their own success. You will be remembered forever. Goodbye pioneer, we will miss you.

I don't hav this monster.. sure I cant afford it for next 3years.. After reading the review i can say that symbian jst need to boost in app section and fp2 wil make the Symbian even perfect..
Ya nokia store has enough apps.. For me it is very large.. Any normal person can be satisfied..
Elop went for WP without alternate plan, when symbian has raised bit, when they don't even hav a prototype.. Very big corporate joke..

I'm big big fan of nokia and symbian os. I've used 3110c, 5800 xpressmusic, e63, e5, N82. Now i'm using N8 since last year. I like photography. I think N82 was the best camera phone ever produced by any brand. It was even better than N8. Now i want to switch to nokia 808pureview. I have two questions to ask you guys. In still camera mode, how much zoom we get? Is it 4x, 8x or 12x zoom? One more thing, it doesn't have customisable equalires like N8. What i'm doing with my N8 is, i've downloaded tunewiki app from store. When i make new preset in tunewiki it automatically appears in default music player. Will anyone try this and tell me if it can be done in 808pureview as well? Thanks in advance.
