I Think the specs are pathetic considering the hype around this phone
Screen is pathetic by all means,my 38mpix snaps will look quite bad considering puny 180 ppi... And god why symbian WHY??? Such an embarassment. Also it is bulky, heavy, unintuitive and weakened by single core 1.3ghz processor. and there is nothing good about it except the camera. Case closed, such a disappointment from such hype

N8 owner, 18 Jun 2012I have N8 and a love it except when I recording video there is all time ON red light on device... more808 doesnt have the red light in the Xenon flash. Only a white LED light. THis is used to help focusing on low light just like the red lights purpose. as for the recoding part it wont light up the LED so there will be no indication that your recording unless you enable the "night light/flashlight LED" for recording in the dark. theres a toggle switch on the upper left screen when recording to enable the light.

As u said u have used Samsung S2 and currently u r using 808. wanna know ur ex... moreAs i said before , am a kind of guy who is into photography more than into tons of apps and games
although checking mails is a breeze on the 808 with push emails also the facebook and twitter experience are great too., skype whatsapp fring thats all i use in a mobile phone
if u r into games and installing hundreds of app every day then go to S3 or S2 but dont expect much from their tiny sensors and tiny cameras
the 808 pureview camera is awesome already replaced my Soony H20 and most of point and shoot digital cameras on the market, the video recording is amazing with lossless zoom and rich audio recording
so if u browse a little check fbook and twitter updates frequently and a camera geek get the 808
if u r more into internet games and appliactions and that stuff go for the s2
buttom line there is no perfect device just choose what suits ur needs atmost
go for flickr and check so wonderful shots by the 808 to judge the camera urself
Just got my nokia n8 1 1/2 years after it's release and i envy all of you people who already have the 808 pureview. Maybe i'll get one after 1 1/2 years also. but so far i'm being blown away by the imaging of nokia n8, then what more if im using the 808. enjoy your 808 guys and be proud that you are using a phone that's different from others :)
patt, 19 Jun 2012hi seabreeze As u said u have used Samsung S2 and currently u r using 808. wanna know ur ex... moreSamsung S3 is the best phone in the market right now. If you can afford it, buy it. You will not regret it. I am using a Samsung S2 since the last one year and I am still not bored with it. Ir-respective of what anyone say go ahead with the S3. All the best.
now samsung will copy the pureview technology of nokia......
becoz samsung is world's largest copier....
N8 owner, 18 Jun 2012I have N8 and a love it except when I recording video there is all time ON red light on device... moreThere is no known hack to disable red light during video recording, but you can use an app SymDVR for recording HD or Full HD videos without annoying red light.
patt, 19 Jun 2012hi seabreeze As u said u have used Samsung S2 and currently u r using 808. wanna know ur ex... moreit all depends on u... i can`t recomend u smth out of te takinghese.as i like taking photos i`d rather take the 808 but i`m not really into symbian so i`d take smt like iphone with 250$ dslr lens. but if u r not really into taking photos but u like surfing the net and having many apps installed u should take samsung galaxy s3. even tho i don`t like the design. i`d recommend sony xperia s
Anonymous, 19 Jun 2012do u know what it meanI guess it has something to do with Batman Lumia. :/
Nokia Global FB page has changed their cover photo with a message:
"Their is a storm coming..."
best phone ever and s3 is not even close to it. whoever says its camera is not good then fu*k off it just as good as dslr camera.some features in nokia r unique it was da first 1 to use usb on the go and then do tv out function which even samsungs high models cant do. samsung galaxy function can perform tv out but cant support usb on da go samsung is not even near nokia not in the past present and in da future
As u said u have used Samsung S2 and currently u r using 808. wanna know ur experience of S2 and 808. bcoz i am very confused whether to go for 808 or Samsung S3 which are running on completly different platforms. people say S3 has long life in terms of updates n all whereas in case of 808 it's the other way. hv read many comments abt 808 camera which says that according to 41MP camera is bad n all bla bla bla. wat is ur opnion of 808 camera? i m asking u bcoz u hv used S2 and u have now using 808 which says u hv switched to symbian from andriod. 808 or S3? ur opinion will b helpful for me. thanks inadvance
