It's safe to say this phone is not meant to cater to the app-hungry crowd. It's the best camera-phone around, easily the equal of all point'n'shoot cameras on the market, and gives you the features of an average smartphone on top!
For some peeps (like me) this phone will give us all we need, particularly since it has a micro sd slot as well...
I just got my 808 today in Singapore .. From Nokia authorized dealer . My first impression is the back cover is very flimsy plastic , well very different from N8 and N9 ( unremovable battery ) that I have ,but the biggest difference from N8 ( updated to Symbian Belle ) is in the processing speed , super fast and no lagging at all , it matches the HTC One X . I am so impressed and surprised ... That Nokia / Symbian can deliver such a amazing product ! Give the Pureview 808 a try .
AnonD-5041, 08 Jun 2012mobile-review is headed by Eldar Murtazin, a long time anti-Nokia guy. No surprises here.yes so true many don't know this, only thing i like about his reviews, is he posts many pics showing you most screenshots of phone features, other than that he's always against Nokia

Yes. I have no doubt on the capabilities of the camera. But WTF, only single core at 1.3ghz clock speed? 1400 mAh? what's the use of the phone if you can't exploit more of it because of it's limited performance and power?!
Maybe Nokia just designed this just for display or to catch up their ever declining market share over other smartphone manufacturer or in any other way to gain back their product influence that they enjoyed a few years ago.
Dear NOKIA, put more juice in your product lines. I'm hungry of the specs from phones. Don't you noticed your left behind?

AnonD-51996, 08 Jun 2012WTF was that review?! I don't understand why did you post it here. It seemed more like bashing... moreyess the review its bullshit.. but u see the picture taken in 808 automatic mode its at 5mp = 8 mp in other mobile cameras.. so when set it set at 38mp (superfine) and take a pic see :)
If they will change the OS to Windows Phone OS, I think I'll consider this phone. Since I'm currently using N8, having Symbian Belle as my N8's OS, it worsen my experience with my N8. They should fix all the bugs first before releasing new phones with Belle as OS. As long as they don't fix it, this is not yet a good phone to buy.
The specs are good, but the support? Goodluck people :)

If Symbian is dying as what all nokia and symbian OS haters like you always say, how come after more than 2 decades of existence it continues to grow? And not only that, Belle FP1 surpases your ICS in many aspects (I can name them for you).
So, it seems like you and the rest of nokia haters can not and, I think, will never accept the fact that Symbian will continue to exist for the next decade.
It seems now that it is not a question of which OS is better. It is a qiestion of which OS is MORE DEPENDABLE and MORE STABLE.
Android, as I always say, is a promising OS and I know will get better each year. But my confidence in Symbian OS is still higher than Android.
Best of luck with Android OS. I hope android will still be around for the next 15 years...

Indonesians always pay a very high price, really high price to get to use international as well as local products. Indonesia is a poor country with high inflation rate. Just like Africa.
1/1.2" sensor is a state of art tech. Which is a great selling point than the 41MP over sampling tech. implemented in this Phone. I will buy this technology, when Nokia releases a Windows Phone 8 device with PureView.
poor fanboys... They are just bashing bout the PV because they dont have the superior cam this mobile has. I was like pitying those who say that the amount of detail 808 captures is the same with 8mp. Come on, u'r just jealous cause samsung nor apple can create cam tech like this. I wont be surprised to see in the coming days that samsung or apple will create soemthing like this. After all nokia started it all, then apple and samsung will just copy nokia's aideas.

It seemed more like bashing Nokia 808... It isn't a fair review at all, especially about the camera... The guy who wrote that review says its camera is one of the best in mobile phones and it's just stupid saying it. There's nothing that can come even close to 808 in mobile phone cameras and comparing it to them is offending 808... He says that the 41MP sensor collects the same amount of detail like 8MP sensor in other cameras and that's bullsh*t, cause the amount of detail it can capture is just stunning and no one can say the contrary. We all have seen the photos taken by 808 and they are amazing and it outperforms all P&S cameras. The guy didn't even mention the incredible video recording capabilities shown in some videos on youtube which are way better than low-end DSLRs, nor the Nokia Rich Recording technology. And Nokia managed to superate most of the technical limitations that he mentioned.
