this mobile will be a best seller. it has the best camera in the world and also the best OS ever (suck android fans). the only problem is the heavyweight (169g). maybe I'll buy N8 for half the price. or should I buy an old (but not used) iphone 3GS for the same price of N8? I have an E63 (great phone and poor camera).

well its like the N8 was an awesome phone. let down by the OS. the cpu speed. and well a few other things. but as a camera phone. best on the market.

as will this be. but just a shame its not a windows phone. but the phone was developed a few years ago. so its was in symbian times hence. symbian on it. shame but true.

I already pre-ordered mine. And guess what? No additional cost. Price? The official price when it will be released. Which means that the pre-order price is the same as the regular price. Payment upon claiming the item. Sweet! So... sweet! :)

AnonD-49642, 08 Apr 2012Yes, you are right. Of course I understand that we talk about the sensor resolution, consideri... moreBut a 38/34MP photo can have its own advantages, especially when you decide that you need a high-res segment of it later on, or if you need a specific size of photo for desktop publishing, you can capture a full-res photo with this, then resample it yourself later on. Although like you said, details will get lost when it goes to the printer, using a 38/34MP photo will cause the printer to use a higher DPI, therefore having a higher quality output, especially on desktop publishing.

I definitely won't call it a "market trick" because it is real, and that term has negative connotations.

And besides, for those quality-freaks (*ehem* a little) when it comes to photos, a bigger resolution is always better, as long as the sensor can capture a decent photo at that resolution.

This a good alternative for a DSLR. Every DSLR owner would agree that they won't be carrying a DSLR every time they leave their house/studio. So, having this in your pocket as an alternative will ensure that they will have a good camera when a picture-perfect or a good photo opportunity presents itself, this most especially applies to photo enthusiasts. :)

Guest, 08 Apr 2012Is that a typo or is it really a 41 MP Camera?Nope, not a typo. It is really 41. Forty-one.
But that is only the sensor. The actual images are 34 and 38MP.

I've said for years that I wouldn't buy a digital camera because a phone that could match them would come out soon. Thus I've never owned one. That day could have been here, too bad the resolution is so low, that's the only thing keeping me from buying this phone. I wouldn't mind getting a symbian phone again for the first time in years if it hadn't been for that. The OS is ok afaik, I could live with it a couple of years ago, and I 've heard good things about Belle. There are plenty of hacks and the custom rom scene is pretty active. Symbian will fly on that hardware, and if the camera is as good as promised, this could be a great phone.
