accept camera, sony xperia s is far better than this because it has 1gb ram,1.5Ghz dual core processor,32 gb internal memory,4.2 inch 4 finger touch screen, also has 12 mp camera with 1080p 30fps recording, front cam. is also 1.3mp with 720p 30fps recording, adobe flash player 10.1 support, look and specially android os.
Symbian os is outdated thing and android is future of mobile. 808 has 41mp cam but I challenge simple digi cam under rs. 10000 is better then it and lossless zoom is not better than optical zoom.
So nokia 808 is just waste of money.

My 2 cents on this phone:
Camera specs are awesome, nothing comes even close. I like the fact that it comes with symbian(yes, I'm a symbian fan, but not a fanboy).
Dont really understand why people keep bashing this phone calling it a marketing gimmick, its a solid phone with a decent OS and nice specs. Symbian might be dated and on its way out, but it still has some fight left on it. Specswise you cant compare symbian with android, they are too different. Symbian doesnt really need dual cores and tons of ram to run smoothly(Tested the latest leaked firmware on my N8, made it run even smoother). Android needs the cores, it needs the ram, and has a lot of apps and cool customizations in its favor. In the end, its all about getting the phone you want and feel good with, doesnt matter if it's symbian, android or whatever.
I thought that my next phone would be an android, but after seeing this phone(I'm all about the pics)i guess android can wait.

I have an s60v3fp1 and it has hd games like brothers in arms, asphalt 6 etc. I was also amazed that it can run the game "seven days" without a problem, now thats a real 70mb game.

I am browsing using opera browser or other browsers without any problem.

I can play online MMORPG called anrufen without draining the battery so fast.

I am connected to the internet free of charge.

                          I can get all applications i want free.(i have a hacked s60v3)

I have free navigation, free music damn, what else should i include....

These are just some reasons why we stick to symbian...
Its a real open source OS.

Zyde, 09 Apr 2012Yes! Come on! I waiting so long! Want this camera beast! Woah! Hold your horses! lol!

We might expect this to come out by month's end. Hope Nokia doesn't pull another "delay stunt" with this one. They said May. Hopefully before May. :)

Verbal_Criminal, 09 Apr 2012"operating system (OS) itself is more powerful than Android. Android requires more powerf... more808 is the testing ground?
                                Search for this: pureview lite
                                Handset: N8

PureView was specifically made for Symbian. Do you know that Nokia is now hiring people to work on the PureView technology for Lumia? They are creating another type of PureView that is similar to the ones in the N8 and 808.

Why do you need more powerful hardware for Android to function more effectively? Because it is POORLY optimized.

Like I said, to perform the SAME TASK, you need high-end hardware for Android to perform as well as how Symbian performs with low-end hardware?

                                You want proof?
Samsung Galaxy S2? What do you think is the main reason why they used a dual-core processor? 1080p video recording/playback. Sure, the GPU helps a lot, but without a dual-core processor, SGS2 will have a very hard time dealing with 1080p videos. Now look at the 808. 1080p video encoding/decoding with a GPU and a single core CPU. Sure, another chip helps with the encoding, but how about decoding? And this happens with a SINGLE CORE 1.3GHz processor VS a DUAL CORE 1.2GHz processor.

Only shows your level of intellect: LOW.

You only paid attention to that one, and you understood it wrongly. Just my opinion? Nope. Try both for yourself.

Customization? Really? Symbian offers more customization options than Android.

I mentioned other points. You didn't dare answer them? What does that say about yourself? You don't know what you are saying. :)
