This might be a another failure of Nokia.512 MB Ram is too low for the machine. Usually Nokia phones comes with not enough Ram situation, this will lead to the situation that phone getting stuck and restarting in most times, poor performance will increase the user dis satisfaction.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2012its just a 5mp lens!!! the 41mp is what they call "pixel merging" technology, it is ... moreno, read carefully, you can use full resolution, 38mp if you want it.. But the default setting for the pureview mode is 5mp..

there is many misunderstood about it.
First of all it have two processor; one as usual like other phone have and another one is called video processor so many people says that it have dual processor. It convert high recorded video to small size without decreasing the quality and then send to the main processor. If it doesn't have dual or video processor it cannot record HD video.

So guys, no need to worry about the size and the quality of video recorded.

And the next is about the price it
doesn't cost 570 euro it cost around 460 euro or INRs 27999.

MAX, 04 Apr 2012its really good if it handles full hd recording in that bit rate (2.7 mbps as you mentioned be... moreYeah, but good luck uploading a long video to YouTube and Facebook without re-compressing the video. :)

The 27min (4GB) limitation is because of the FAT32 file system.

So I really hope that we get NTFS/exFAT support with this... :)

[deleted post]its really good if it handles full hd recording in that bit rate (2.7 mbps as you mentioned before) without compromising quality. Most of the phones that record full hd do it at average 17mbps that eat lots of memory.29 minutes length is a great achievment.

Nokia 808 PureView RM-807 has at least one advantage over point and shoots and DSLRs : USB OTG (On-The-Go). While it may not have a hot swappable microSD card, you can transfer files to a hot swappable USB Flash Drive or a self-powered USB Hard Drive using the USB OTG cable with the Nokia 808 PureView RM-807. ;-)

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2012lol, it is definately an 41mp sensor!! You should better read, than you would also know what o... moreits just a 5mp lens!!! the 41mp is what they call "pixel merging" technology, it is only useful when you zoom in a picture or a video to reduce noise, if you take a simple without-zoom picture, its details is much more lesser than a 8mp/12mp phone

Wondering why Nokia chose the name "NOKIA BELLE" instead of "SYMBIAN BELLE" for this phone?

It's because Pureview 808 is so QT (kyut) as in CUTE!

The OS itself is built and being developed using QT same developing tool used on N9.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfZTYscKBQ8

I think Nokia is moving on and letting go of Symbian's (the platform) past failure to the market. They don't want to retain the shame that the old SYMBIAN platform has brought to the brand (speaking of s60v5 and the late s^3). Instead they rebuilt and improved the platform(with symbian roots), using QT and incorporate most of the great things they've done from maemo and meego including symbian belle and made it into one amazing feature pack which is "NOKIA BELLE". (And maybe that's also the reason why SYMBIAN is now DEAD.)

But wait, it rose back from the dead. BELLE is a ZOMBIE?lol

With this kind of development, NOKIA can now buid a new UI experience including apps using QT. Just like what they've done with maemo and meego.

I personally still have high hopes with Nokia especially on what they are doing with their new platforms (not to mention WP8 in the near future). Belle is here, next updates should be more breath taking.

Nokia is becoming more QT(cute).

Sooner or later they will regain their throne and become The King again.
