AnonD-5041, 21 Mar 2012Funny I just recalled a little known fact about Nokia N82 RM313
CPU Dual 332 MHz ARM 11, Te... moreI don't know if this is true but it was discussed here:
I have an N73.
808's processor is made for dual-core. Maybe it really is, maybe it isn't. You know Nokia, they sometimes don't give/tell you some important details about your device, then release an update later to unlock some features/capabilities (701, 700, etc..).
Honestly, I like the way how they sometimes just let the user(s) explore other features of their phones. Gives a thrill of discovering something. :)
Funny I just recalled a little known fact about Nokia N82 RM313

Nokia does have dual core Symbian S60v.3FP1 devices.
This device has dual core, among others. But not the Nokia 808 PureView. :)
blu, 21 Mar 2012u cant shell out more than 500$ max fr this device. no value fr moneyAnd how is it no value for money? Care to elaborate?
But hopefully it will cost less than $500..
AnonD-44456, 21 Mar 2012Symbian has a bright future just that it was in slum cause the UI was bad back to Symbian S60V... moreI also think that announcement was what started the decline of Symbian. WP is not yet ripe (nice term here buddy!), but still released it. This one gave a lot of people bad impressions about the WP line. Much like S60v5 and S^3, WP could be in a whole lot of trouble because of all those limitations. Too many limitations at such a high price.
But honestly, Nokia could still go back to the top if they will just focus on one OS. Symbian is a very good choice. It started with a great impression although somewhere in the middle it did slip up, it still has the potential. Just a few more features (WiFi Direct, Browse shared folders via WiFi, to name a few), put as much marketing as what is used in the Lumia Series and Symbian can have a feature pack that will bring it to the top.
Too bad though. Nokia-MS already set the mindset of the majority that Symbian is dying/dead. Now, if they will just take that back and give a lot of attention to Symbian... :)
AnonD-32581, 21 Mar 2012well I suppose it will always remind us of symbian, its just really upgraded and the name chan... moreYeah.. Symbian S^3 really left a bad impression on (a lot of). So it would be a good decision to just change the name, but most people would still remember/recognize it as Symbian I think. :)
But Anna is a very good development, and so does the next OS.. :)
just by the specs it seems Nokia has hit the right spot, it has the same specs as the N8,which I feel is one of the best phones Nokia has released, keeping the transmitter in their sleek and bring your music and link it to your car, and that camera, if this is as good as it sounds Nokia will be number one in my humble opinion beat Nokia fan, cannot wait until I can get my hands on it.
AnonD-32581, 21 Mar 2012well I suppose it will always remind us of symbian, its just really upgraded and the name chan... moreMy opinion about the name is that nokia do it for marketing..
By the the name "nokia belle" you buy a "nokia OS", (after all they have bought it and Symbian has enemies and trolls everywhere..) and not something or someone else OS..
But,in this way after 2016 they continiue with nokia 0S, like now, but with a lot of changes..
I think that the next generation "nokia OS" will be Symbian-Maemo(MeeGo)collab..
Yes, MeeGo project is dead, but not the part of nokia.. Is dead the collab with Intel..
AnonD-44031, 21 Mar 2012It will always be "Symbian" for me. :)
Besides, take a closer look at my post and w... morewell I suppose it will always remind us of symbian, its just really upgraded and the name changed nokia say, that is it......
I suppose they changed the name cause some people think that symbian is bad...
there's one great chance that Nokia could won public attention( without any advertising expenditure )only if they could adjusted their products price to the lowest profit margin in contrast to the Sky rocking price at the initial !
coz, phone features wise...... they are nowhere near the King and the Queen.
AnonD-44031, 21 Mar 2012Some reasons why people stay in Symbian probably include the fact that Symbian is a very versa... moreThanks..
Sorry for the typing mistake. I hav wrote
almost end of 2014. Sorry it should be 2013.
Because, Initially WP8 might be successful. But future tells real success no? So its success depends on response & sales in the whole 2013.
Best reply Noblescarlet.. By the way which 2mobiles u r using?? Buying 808???
AnonD-44031, 21 Mar 2012Some reasons why people stay in Symbian probably include the fact that Symbian is a very versa... moreSymbian has a bright future just that it was in slum cause the UI was bad back to Symbian S60V5 and S^3. It was taking some time to revolve and emerge back to market. Just that when the time was going to recover, Elop was hired to make the thing worse than it was before. It is like Nokia is no longer exist and a small No-Kia-Microsoft company was established back in Feb 2011. Everything has been killed before it manages to give back profit. What the point of launching devices but then you’re going to tell the whole world you’re in the process of killing them. Why make them if you want to kill them? It’s like why you have babies but then kill them after 3-4 years?
With the No-Kia-Microsoft, new company they’re starting all over again from the bottom of the line to resurrect the death of Windows Mobile into new soul which is Windows Phone. They can do this but not as primary OS yet. The time is just not right and ripe yet. Meanwhile for Symbian, it still has high market share. Just that a lot fixing needed so that all the developers and consumers return to Symbian. Currently what nokia does is a reborn (WP) and a major fixing (Symbian to Belle). Both are in good progress but why Belle does not receive much ovation as WP does.
First, announcement of Symbian Death and less applications (majorly due to developers not interested cause Symbian was announced to be death). Second, the device itself is hardly to be found in some countries. Third, till now no fully support of Flash except for MeeGo (only in Mozilla). Forth, the marketing of WP too excessively despite the close system, no-USB otg, no microSD expansion slot, no DLNA and limited BT. Last, the Symbian devices are tag at higher price, no display/demo unit available in Nokia stores. People have no idea how different and smooth Belle is from Symbian as they never had the chance to try it hands on.
