anon, 12 Mar 2012Very true. Apps are generally battery-sucking crap. Game on GAMING devices, like PSP, because ... morei only got 2 pockets and one has my keys in it...The other my phone. Who carries a psp for gaming , a ipod for music, a phone for calls , and a tablet for internet, and a camera for pics, and a camcorder for video. There are alot of phones that do all of this.. If you think nokia is the only one with a phone that has great a video cam your crazy. 41mp is good but its a phone first......just remember its a phone first.

people waste their time criticizing...let me tel you smth
If you like beautiful pics and videos, buy a Nokia N95.
If you like playing games that are PS2-like,buy an N95.
If you hate these touchscreen trends(android, wp7,belle) buy an N95.
You'll be satisfied in every point.

anonymouse, 12 Mar 2012bang on!!! your decency in answering the question is not found on GSMArena to say the least. ... moreVery true. Apps are generally battery-sucking crap. Game on GAMING devices, like PSP, because phones will never match that quality. Else, I like phones that ALWAYS work and have enough battery life to support all their base features, let alone extras and nothing but Nokia can do all that today. Nokia running SYMBIAN.

hello guys,I see everybody is fighting over a same issue. But the question still remains is that which OS is better and which handset will be the best amongst all.The answer is concealed behind mystery.I currently use nokia N9 nokia E7 samsung Galaxy galaxy SII and the Iphone 4S.I actually develop apps for handsets.
According to my opinion no handset is perfect. You cannot make choices between which OS to use. What I will do is give u guys a maximum possible overview of each OS.
First up Android 4.0:For heavy gamers and people who would like to try new apps every other day. These phones are highly based on performance.Top processors, graphics and extensive modifications are their best quality. On the Cons list we got less Battery life as u really have fast processors nd a really heavy android OS,Open source market filled with bugs.
next up is Symbian:One of the oldest OS probably the the oldest.Best qualities are superior battery life, highly secured, solid materials and a lite OS.Cons include less apps, less video codecs although u cud use third party players for that, not so fast processors and ram that is because u dont need that fast processors to run a symbian OS.
MeeGO:A new OS whcih I wonder could be the best OS one day but unfortunately dropped by nokia so their future is an epic failure if not adapted by a big phone company.A beautiful OS designed for simplicity, got fast processors and include 1 Gb ram which I feel is enough.Cons include scarcity of apps poor battery performance perhaps because the OS consumes a lot of power, restrictions to a lot of features which cud be hardly recognised as a smartphone.
IOS:Its an overestimated OS which I think is worse of all because of the restrictions which comes along with the box but a bit of googling u cud get rid of it.best features are good solid Lag free OS with superior performance.Cons are poor battery life nd a lot of restictions like the bluetooth and others.

Though I won't recommend this for heavy gaming. This is first and foremost a mobile phone. Be gentle with it even if it is durable. Get a handheld console if you want heavy gaming.

What is your definition of multimedia anyway? I define multimedia as working with photos, videos, audio and creativity applications. This includes capturing, recording, playback/viewing and even interacting with certain applications that require creativity to use.

"basically fr children"? You have no idea. No mobile phone can simply comply with the "creative demands" of children.

KAPIL WADHAWAN, 12 Mar 2012i dont think soOf course it is possible. I can change my N73's battery in less than 25 seconds, even when not looking, so long as I have the spare battery in my hand! :)

Living in an area with frequent blackouts can have some advantages..

Hey,, I love having excellent camera in my phones.. The Nokia 808 really attracts me.. But I'm a little bit disappointed to see the type of the front camera(it's a VGA camera)... A good front camera is necessary for video chatting and many other interesting works... So,I don't like the phone in this site..

In Symbian, you wont need to since everything works out of the box....

As for Rooting, Symbian can be "hacked" meaning you can also modify some files in it as well. I installed some new custom animation effects and it runs very smooth for a 680mHZ phone. It doesnt lag at all... Symbian has been 'rooting' even before Android was born.

Custom Firmwares? yes theres also a community that creates custom firmwares for Symbian.
