But don't expect this to be as good as the high-end DSLRs. Maybe/probably comparable to the entry-level/some mid-range DSLRs, but definitely not the high-range ones.
But if the photo quality is comparable to the low-range DSLRs, then that must mean something. :)

Fair warning though, average file size for the full-resolution pictures is ~10MB. The ZIP archive is around 30MB, and the pictures seem to retain their original EXIF data.
On the second link, click on the photos to view them in full-resolution. You can also Right-click -> Save link... to download them to your PC and view it from there. Some of the EXIF data seems to be lost, but they still seem to be unedited.

I own a Nokia N8 and it is using AMOLED for its display. Nice display colors and everything. This pureview, I admit, is far off better than N8 in terms of specs and if comes out here in the Philippines, I'll grab one.
One question though, why this unit is installed with Nokia ClearBlack display and not super amoled and the likes? Is clearblack display better than AMOLED? Just asking.

I'm not sure camera Nokia 808 is good or not? As my experience Nokia camera is not good as Sony Ericsson.
I really don't understand why the battery is not good. Just hope the designer should think about the age of battery also.

it looks pretty awesome. and the software is a real improvement.
but my only problem is, 123mm..thats 12 cm long! its a bit too big. usually nokia phones are nice and compact.

Sure, most don't need the 38MP pictures. If you don't want it, then don't use it! Set it to 3MP, 5MP or 8MP if you don't want to use them. You are not forced to use it. If you don't like this because of the camera, get an N8.

Sure, most don't need the 38MP pictures. If you don't want it, then don't use it! Set it to 3MP, 5MP or 8MP if you don't want to use them. You are not forced to use it. If you don't like this because of the camera, get an N8.

if you really are loyal to nokia you would know better than fandroid sour grapes.
obviously you don't know about the:
1. expandable memory, usb-on-the-go
2. HDMI, TV-out
3. Symbian is power efficient unlike iOS or Android
4. apps compatibility (unlike my galaxy tab where a lot of games force close or apps simply do not work because of compatibility) and again, HDMI, TV-out for viewing the full quality of pictures or videos
5. quickoffice
6. i agree that the design is not good, but it's not about the looks (surely you won't buy a laptop just because the color is so bright and glossy, or would you? i don't expect apple fanboys to understand this). it's about the performance.

p.s. the 808 pureview uses an rgb (and not pentile) screen!! ;)

I think you're (almost) the only one who doesn't understand what's behind this 41MP camera!!
Of course you can shoot pictures in 38 (4:3 mode) or 34MP (16:9 mode) and everyone should know that more MP doesn't mean automatically better pictures!!!
BUT the thing is the PureView technology which allows you to take AMAZING 5 or 8MP pictures - by oversampling...!!!
