the camera is nice..there is no qualm about that...but the display is pathetic..I wonder how a photo from a 41mp camera looks on a 184 ppi screen..the o.s is also well outdated..I know it hurts spending a lot of money to buy a stupid phone like the Nokia 808..i can understand why you are bitter..
if belle or Janet or whatever they call this useless o.s was all that and a bag of chips why did nokia endorse windows phone 7 as its flagship o.s?
am very happy with my htc sensation and zte blade..
and I hope all of you who bought this phone are photographers...if you are its worth it..
Hey guys, I would put this battery to Li-ion 4000 mAh if I create this phone...
I am really excited about what you and your team have developed. Nokia has done with their custom camera module what Samsung has done with their AMOLED display. I believe Nokia will also share in similar success... especially in a world where differences in smartphones have become razor thin and consumers are no longer impressed with the next generation processor. Even the new Tegra III quad core won't raise as many eyebrows as Nokia's 41MP camera module since it doesn't really distinguish itself from the pack.
Another advantage could be that the new camera module is sold to other manufacturers after the first two of very strong sales.
Did Nokia partner with OmniVision or other company to synergistically blend their expertise with Nokia's expertise in order to create the camera module?
AnonD-34890, 03 Mar 201241 mp camera? that's the best Nokia can do???..rubbish..they could have given it a better proc... morebella os does not need dual core processor to operate...
If you want compare bella and android
run a game that is super HD... See which 1 uses more battery and Ram...
Bella os use less ram and battery... Compare to android...
[deleted post]Hi Viranga, based on your comment I am sure you can read and understand the English but you are so unfair with your comment then many people lookdown you and they think you are not smart, so next time please be wise with your comment.
just make clear for you that 808 will has the biggest sensor size(1/1.2") for camera phone and has 41 MP (38 MP effective, 7152 x 5368 pixels)so you can have the 38 MP picture and if you set the system camera to 5MP you will have 3x loseless digital zoom in other woods that you will have the same quality picture after you zoom its 3X. Now the biggest sensor for camera phone is in Nokia N8(1/1.83").
Cheers and please be nice and wise.
[deleted post]This phone was a nice surprise. I'm coming back to nokia. My SE C901 phone is having defects after only ALMOST 1 year of usage. After 3 handphones in 3 years, it's case closed for me. I'm not going back to SE or Sony. As for Samsung, the phone seems dull tbh. They keep producing the same thing over and over again. It'll be outdated pretty soon.
It's refreshing to hear this news. Nokia has always been a reliable brand. However, their specs always pale compare to others. This phone will be revolutionary. Hope nokia can start producing decent phones soon enough.
phone design is disappointing looks age old and too thick and bulky. nokia makes dumbphones, samsung = smartphones
