[deleted post]It does have video stabilization but Nokia hasnt implemented yet as they're having issues with it so that's probably why gsmarena hasn't listed it
Anonymous, 28 Feb 2012808 is the last Symbian phone from nokia.. Lets rock Nokia guys.. even they would be ending ... moreNo it's not..!!
Nokia will give 3 more devices with Symbian OS..
One in Q2 with 1.3Ghz (like 808,without this monster camera)with Carla OS, and 2 (maybe next year)with dual core for Donna OS..
nokia should increase display resoulation of this phone..other then that everything is perfect..
its nice to see a symbian phone at top of popular chart.i never imagined of buying another symbian device.but this one i will get it also new os looks beautiful.
People who keep saying bad things about Symbian really have any idea how good is it. IT'S ABSOLUTELY NOT DEAD, YET.
great phone wait for its launching. best thing is nokia launching this phone.....
my 1st impression on understanding the device? good work GSMArena! wow Nokia you are indeed back in game and will beat everybody... was this feeling permanent? not really!
these are things which were easily noticeable, hence easily commented:
1) looks: definitely not premium... if Nokia calls it N8 successor, then the looks dept. should have given it similar looks if not better... my opinion? it sucks! Red is interesting though!
2) screen resolution? what is Nokia thinking?
3) battery? what is Nokia thinking?
4) Call management > Contacts > Detailed contact information... if it is the same as the one on Belle, then sorry boss, even my Samsung E2232 DUOS has better management of contacts and call log features (where can you find up to 7 features under Call Logs?)
5) no camera shutter?
should i go for N9 or 808... ummmm... thinking...
I definitely don't like Nokia and you can bet I hate symbian more than any other OS in the world... However the camera and its advanced features are so damn amazing that I wouldn't mind, at all, owing this phone!!! If only Nokia would have released it with the WP 7 OS and with some better specs, hardware wise (like for example the usual 1,4ghz single core processor, along with a WVGA resolution screen), I would trade my Samsung GSII for this Nokia 808 asap!!!
Hey guys stop debating android,ios,symbian,
In My opinion this device is really awesome even it singlecore what so ever, because pureview is a new technology in mobile camera, means if you zoom the camera up 4x the clarity of images not loss comparing to others mobile phone if you zoom the clarity of images is loss..
In Performance Symbian belle really great smooth lot of improves done before, No doubt,
Hopefully this device can support full flash 10.3, No bugs, hardware problem,
Pleased stop comparing singlecore device to dualcore, quadcore device... N808 is enough for everyday used no need dualcore,quadcore....
Nokia haters ....read these .......
by weight Nokia 808 is better for use than DSLR camera
what about camera Results, are they better or worse than produced by DSLR ??
Its quite sad really because many people say that Nokia is getting left behind and out of its league now they show that they can do better be on the front line now again many haters will say its a deperate move from nokia... gezzzz... pls learn to appreciate people
Im not a Nokia fan but a samsung fan because of samsung many options like dual sim and good looking mobile but really!!! Hands down Nokia did very well on this one...
I have used Nokia since 1996 and I love all the phones I used.
For the first time afer years tho,I can say that
Nokia is trying hard to do something great.
this phone is a machine -I love it and I cant wait to get one -the red one
