Anonymous, 28 Feb 2012Now this is another drawback handset from nokia. Its like a camera much rather than a phone. No ... morewhat else of the feature are you are talking about..
you want Smartphones to replace PCs & laptops..
What is the point of adding several cores to CPU to the point you fail to feel the difference between a 40 core processor & 41 core processor..
Usability is more important.
Perhaps u haven't tried belle; it is as smooth as other OS.
All the basics are covered in the 808 & why to cry if belle doesn't support Adobe Flash player or browser is not that capable like android; Adobe Flash is going out of the market they will be extinct in PCs also.
you will talk about limited no. of apps. & what if all the basic apps are covered like skype & HD games available at Ovi store also.
What about Nokia N9? Despite having limited no. of apps & single core CPU why N9 is most popular? Design & uniqueness also plays a great role which other smartphone manufacturers lay no emphasis upon. Samsung, LG & HTC releasing similar looking Smartphones each new week. Which fail to excite me.
See the bright side. you 've Dolby Digital& excellent design. Excellent camera making u instantaneously famous & all the basics covered.
What do a average user need to do more with his smartphone. and industry is focused on larger no. of average users; everyone is not as tech savvy as us to try upon N9 & N900 & windows 8 developer preview.
You want to play Crysis on your smartphone so go ahead All The Best!
hunter, 28 Feb 2012will nokia stop making symbian?? because i hate it, no doubt in earlier stage of the smartphon... moreWhy do you hate it? I tried iOS, Andriod, Anna and do not see any problem with the latter one, aside from it not remembering caller ID's name, still having no global copy paste, and somewhat short offering on a few app categories.
hyperaddict, 28 Feb 2012dis maybe the smartphone of the year!!no ! It ll be a cameraphone of the year !
[deleted post]it has replaceble battery so you can buy one more if you want
UGA, 28 Feb 2012People and droidboys, lets get to the question: In what dimention(s) Android cams are better t... moreAs u asked "In what dimention(s) Android cams are better than 808's?"
Please make a small research on CMOS sensor...on google.
CMOS censors are used in CCTV camera lenses, n DSLR camera lenses...well known for high image quality.
I m using Xperia X-10 mini pro, for last one year..just 5MP camera, n it comes with CMOS censor for camera lens.
What else...it beats every other mobile camera...even Nokia N8 with 12MP doesn't stand well in front of it.
I have compared it by myself..it can click even ur finger print so fine...Take a demo in some mobile store...
Jee, 28 Feb 2012Even if it was a 41mp or either it has more than 1ghz processor or a more than 512mb ram behin... moreandroid need highier hardware, memory and so on to run their apps, thats fact.. why bother about processor or memory if they dont need it, the only bad about symbian just low apps, thats all
nokia has done it again, who wouldn't want a phone like this, cos i would and cant wait to lay my hands on this..i might shot a video with this phone.
[deleted post]yes, the battery life is lower compared to other symbian phones because of that beast in the buldge of n808.
[deleted post]It's more like others coming here not knowing facts and stating total opposite of what the Pureview technology is & capabilities.
[deleted post]Ur droids lag untill u get high end requirement. Look at htc one x. That needs a quad core cpu to handle 8 mp camera
UGA, 28 Feb 2012I bet that he doesnt know what is S40 !A confined person can't know about an encyclopedia
Nokia 808 PureView
360 x 640 pixels, 4.0 inches (~184 ppi pixel density)
360 x 640 pixels, 3.5 inches (~210 ppi pixel density)
Why they make Nokia 808 such low PPI?????
I want to buy it but why why why :(
