Has Maps been discontinued for the 808?
As of last Sunday (22/12) neither the Maps or Drive functions work on my 808. I just get the spinning circle for a few seconds then back to the home screen.
Is anyone else seeing this?

EVERGREEN, 24 Dec 2013I reset completely my phone with 3 button solution...and I activate call waiting in my 808 too... moreitt may happen again, but knowing how to fix it everything its easier .I believe its from the operator , i am on Orange - ROM. Take care and Merry X mAs guys...

I reset completely my phone with 3 button solution...and I activate call waiting in my 808 too![with special thanks to radu]...and I'm waiting to see result in next days!!...I'll tell what happens and these ways work or not!!...in next days..thanks

Nokia Weather App is officially discontinued for Symbian today. It doesn't work anymore on my Nokia 808 PureView. In coming days, expect Nokia to officially discontinue other services like Nokia Maps for Symbian. I'm really upset about this and for this cheating, saying Nokia will support "Symbian until 2016" is just another lie. Sorry, Nokia but Nokia 808 PureView will be my last Nokia phone.

Hi guys...I have a big and horrible problem with my 808!!!I need emergency some help to solve it!...some times when I wana make a call,this massage appears in display:NOT ALLOWED...when this happens,i can send and receive text massage and all other works with my phone,but i can't make or receive a call!!..i reset my phone completely several times but it's not effective!...i turned offline mode on and turned it off again,but it dose not work too!!...i updated my phone to features pack 2,but problem didn't solve and is still alive!!...the only way to solve problem temporary is restarting of phone!!but i cant do it every one hour or day!!!...I'm in a deep shit with this prob!! I realy need help!...pleeeaaassseee!

Even if u can't access other than lock screen ( in case ur device is password protected ), just perform a deadflash ( ALL DATA'S IN PHONE MEMORY WILL BE LOST ). That should help.

I've tried on 3G and wifi(wifi works by proxy) and I get the same error in both cases.

AnonD-34934, 14 Dec 2013Ya that's perfect as u said.. Also think abt N9 how it was designed and designers said reason ... moreThey said the same about N8 too, that's why they went for 3.5 inches. Also when I tried the 808 it was perfect for one hand, such a great shape. I could drop an iPhone 50 times before dropping the 808 once, I can twist and flip it in my hand and it doesn't feel like it is going to fall. Man I want this phone some day. :-)
And one-handed use is very important, what when I'm holding a dog leash, umbrella, shopping bag, drink, cigarette... I can read all the news while drinking my morning coffee for example, no need to put anything down. Take photos too. :-)
