Anonymous, 28 Feb 2012Now this is another drawback handset from nokia. Its like a camera much rather than a phone. No ... moreAnd what features you think Nokia missed?
Imagine that handset with Android v4.0
I would like to point out one small issue to everyone who is astonished by the megapixel size of the cam in this phone. it uses a sensor which is microscopic and to all those who compare this cam with a DSLR, I suggest you pleae do some sear about image quality and sensor size. The cheapest digital cameras use 1/3.6" (4x3mm) sensor and the cheapest DSLR uses 18x14mm sensor. By far the top range of image quality in a DSLR IS 36.1 in the recently anounced 36x24mm(full frame)sensor Nikon D800 which costs 3000Euros for the body only.I have seen posts in which people say there are cameras which crossed the 100MP mark, I agree, but being a photographer I can tell you those are medium format cameras like the ones from hasselblad which can produce images of upto 200 MP. My most important point is, rating a camera by a megapixel output is like buying a car only because you liked its color. I am sure that the tiny sensor in the nokia cannot give an image quality of a digital camera with a decent sized sensor, (forget the DSLRs thats impossible to put such a big sensor chip in a phone.). Look at the other features this phone offers and its all inferior to any decent smartphone in the market.bad battery, bad display, bad processor, bad RAM, CPU, and the list goes on. Well done nokia for 41 mp camera which is in the medium format area, and this bold anouncement. am sure nokia can fool people to buy this just as all the digital camera manufactures rate and sell the cameras bases upon the megapixel size. I do have a respext for Carl Zeiss optics ad I can tell you they are the best in the world (if you dont like leica) I think there is no point in having a camera which takes 41mp pictures with a bolted together sensor which turnes ouit to be only 1/1.2'' in size. If i wanted to buy a good cameraphone I would go for the newly anounced HTC oneX with a sensible 8MP cam with an aperture of 2.0. while nokia has an aperture of 2.4 (as i said earlier anone who is into pgotography will realise the difference) Good luck Nokia in getting to the market with another UNDER POWERED SIMBIAN.........
@shivam94
yup..think about galaxy R, having dual core tegra 2 cpu with 1 gb ram and it even lags when you add widegts to your homescreen and do not respond if u use it with wet hands..even the specs were nice but it's performance is like a nokia symbian 9.3 device having 600mhz cpu and 128 mb of Ram. So do not compare any phone with another untill you use it itself.
AnonD-44270, 28 Feb 2012well, I just can blame those android users who just feel that higher specification = higher pe... moreI also admit with you
Excuse me, that should be 'microSD, up to 48 GB' and not just 'microSD, up to 32 GB'. Thank you...
- Great camera
- for photographers very interesting phone
- bad screen resolution (for pictures)
- bad battery
i hope for good price
shut up haters !!dont make any flooding here with your stupid words..get out from this page and come to your android phones page..youre not deserved to told this phone bad if youre did not have it. Are you using this phone now? If not just shut up! Dont compare it with your android phone..get out and comment the bad of your android phone in your android phones page..if you still here i think the moderator gonna ban your IP address.
well, I just can blame those android users who just feel that higher specification = higher performance. it just doesn't work with symbian. Symbain was originally created for effeciency and battery life. This is a great os which doesnot require dual or quad cores to run. Whatever it has, It uses it more effeciently rather than high consumption and wastage of resources. The success of symbian is in itself illustrated that a 41mp camera just requires a single 1.3 ghz single core and perform so well without any problems whatsoever. If this is camera were to operate in android, I think even with 6 cores, it would lag! I blame totally google for this mess in this world of high optimisation and high effeciency which is proudly being demonstrated by nokia. Well surely nokia 808 is my next phone undoubtedly and I again request all those android users to not compare specifications as they are a baseless view of comparing these 2 completely different and in their own way an innovation in the history of mobiles.
AnonD-44264, 28 Feb 2012whats the differnce between this phone with n8? some say its still uses the n8 8mp camera with... moreN8 has 12MP camera
Why the hell Nokia is still making low resoliuton displays? and small batteries... :(
AnonD-37410, 28 Feb 2012woww..it really great camera phone. but, i hope Nokia doesn't disappointed the customer, be... moreI would be amazed if you were anything but more thrilled once you get your hands on this... the camera is part of a genuinely amazing device, and only a part... this phone runs rings around anything else out there - and still doesn't break sweat :)
41MP on a handset? hoowww? What about Husselblad?
[deleted post]I think you would qualify for bizarre posting of the day
Android - a variant on linux, might be ideal fodder for teenboy hackers in their bedrooms when they can't find a girlfriend but really what real world advantage do you think an Android phone brings here? In terms of performance, battery life, user experience, phone call ability, virus protection, stability your android still lags far behind. Try doing something remarkably simple like running out of battery while writing a datafile (perhaps updating an application).
Still, I guess you'll bleat on about the millions of apps on android, perhaps I'll point out the number of built in apps and useful Symbian apps you can add...
[deleted post]Lol. I am not comparing it with note because these are different price range phones.
Anonymous, 28 Feb 2012I think the nokia 808 should had a 64gb internal memory with 1.5ghz processor and a 4.3'' sc... moreAre you mad?? Nokia 5233 eats upto 500mb space if you record a video for 1 minute in tv quality...it must be a windows phone at least and lot of memory
Anonymous, 28 Feb 2012lol, even the n8's cam is better than many digicams!! ;)
the 808 is not the real KING!!!dont get anger bro be keep for nokia they will pay for this
Nokia, its an amazing job done by you but again symbian..:(
very disappointed with the OS...otherwise phone would be a great hit as samsung s2
I am using Galaxy S2 and my brother using NokiaN8 i can say nokia with 4x slower processor is fast like any android with 1,5ghz ios is fast but limited OS symbian is more amazing os but nokia dont want to make it better and better because of WP7 sick os.. but when they realize that they made a mistake with WP7 they will return Symbian old glory..I am nokia fanboy evin if i use Galaxy s2...sjmbian or android is a matter of taste nokia is known to be the best in terms of all..I would like nokia to make only one phone with android like they do with N9 and show what they can build..
