Belle runs perfectly smooth on N8 which is 680mhz, i cannot imagine how quick will it be on 1.3ghz.
I saw samples, camera is superb. I just don't like the size of the phone, it's not too bog but I have small fingers... But I will buy it anyway :)
No lens cover ...what a shame Nokia. The camera back portion is highly elevated which off-course scratch and leave gripping trail on camera lens. This highly degrade image quality. Again they chosen Belle OS which is not a good match...Nokia is not walking infact running towards the end. I think some personal in nokia is intentionally doing such blunders.
android with 41mp camera and 5 second battery backup coming soon.haha
Symbian and nokia FTW.
AnonD-44098, 27 Feb 2012What the heck! 41MP?...With only 512-MB of RAM and a 1.3-GHz single-core processor. FAILED!!
... moreHow has it failed? Symbian doesn't need dual-core/quad-core processors with nVidia Tegra 3 graphics.
The 1.3 GHz processor is more than enough to run Sybmain; and just to prove it, find another phone with an ARM11 processor, which runs Android, that can record 1080p HD at 30 fps.
You won't find an ARM11 Android device as powerful, as Android is extremely 'power-hungry' - whereas Symbian is not. With that said, the processor and graphics card in this 'beast' is more than what is required. Even though it sounds cliché, I repeat, it is more than enough to power this phone. :)
AnonD-44098, 27 Feb 2012What the heck! 41MP?...With only 512-MB of RAM and a 1.3-GHz single-core processor. FAILED!! ... moreDUDE what else you want nokia already revived his camera from 14 to 41 MP.i think you are more interested in 3.1 ghz dual core processor instead of 1.3 ghz...
Just awesome phone.. I was searching for... And its symbian.. Means free softwares, hacks, even free internet..due to java support..for handlers...!
rave, 27 Feb 2012actually people has forgetten the actual meaning of a cell phones just by listing 41mp cam don... moreHow much does Samsung pay you guys? It is really a hard work, that you do not like Nokia but still have take time to read comments and put comments here.
And most of you guys have no technical knowledge of what you speak. Apart from "Samsung is good"
PrAkitik, 27 Feb 2012lol... Bring Android on Nokia, come back out from Symbian.lol..nice try but no thanx
nokia can retain its number one position of past if they introduce android os. These 41mp camera and other configuration are not sufficient for nokia.
AnonD-44093, 27 Feb 2012hey just imagine if nokia 808 comes with android............. Can't imagine that, cause Android doesn't have power to do such as Symbian to create such a great product!
rave, 27 Feb 2012actually people has forgetten the actual meaning of a cell phones just by listing 41mp cam don... moreThe ability to carry such a camera with you where ever you go & also have many other uses of phone and other functions is very much spectacular!
AnonD-44098, 27 Feb 2012What the heck! 41MP?...With only 512-MB of RAM and a 1.3-GHz single-core processor. FAILED!! ... moreIt doesn't need much power to push it, that's the power of Symbian, not like Android & other mobile OS out there
Nokia 808 PureView this will define the future of mobile optics. A 41 MP CAMERA SENSOR & Carl Zeiss lens for capturing even the tiniest of details. Even real life would seem faded in comparison to this! are you agree with my statement
Why on earth put this on a ARM 11 processor, it will be incompatible with a bunch of symbian apps i think.
What the heck! 41MP?...With only 512-MB of RAM and a 1.3-GHz single-core processor. FAILED!!
Anyway, we'll still be waiting...lol
Please, Add the LED flash in Video Recording as option in the Camera primary Spec.
No camera can ever come even close to a DSLR in terms of both image quality and versatility unless the camera itself is a DSLR. The camera is probably good for walkaround capturing, but you don't need 41MP for that.
If you want to take photos great photos, get a DSLR. If you want a fast phone, don't buy the Nokia.
The phone is probably good if you like to have a decent multimedia device with the possibility to take photos on the go, but there are zillion of those on the market anyways. Also, it's probably a good option if you don't have money to spend on a DSLR and want to take decent wider angle shots in a good light.
All in all, the 41MP sensor makes a lot of sense. Average Joe's will think the camera is amazing and buy the phone. It's Nokia's way to differentiate as it can't compete with other features anymore.
