Then do a factory reset: *#7370# accept everything that's asking (worning, will format mass memory to). The formatting process ca take up to ten minutes, so don't panic. After resseting is over, let everything load for 2, 3 minutes. Now reinstall your firmware with nokia suite. Plug it in your pc and follow the software installation process. After is over install the latest updates via sw update in your phone. Restart and restore the small backup you made before. If you make it correct, you have good chance to solve your problem...

I think it's some kind of software issue with your device or the main signal ic problem . But if u have your mobile under the warranty of united mobile or advance telecom then you can have a free check-up of your device at any of nokia care centre
Gr8 phone but... compared to my C7, lacks some apps (wellness diary being the most important - if any of you knows a good alternative pls share- NOT "sports tracker" I need a simple but precise pedometer!) plus I have this HUUUUGE rant abt it: Nokia decided that we shouldn't be able to disable theme effects w/o a patch. You cant believe how much those theme effects harm the speed of this otherwise amazing phone! Side by side comparison: c7 is considerably snappier in opening pretty much every menu of UI plus auto-rotates a lot faster. What's worse: my c7 haven't had a reset for about a year now and I have almost twice as many apps installed compared to my 808, I dare to think what my 808 will be like in a year. D@mn Nokia! Do something COMPLETELY right will you?
Siva Bharani, 08 Jul 2013Why cant you try getting ur 808 replaced by Nokia... U can get good working New device right..... moreThe main issue is that I have bought it from Pakistan and I live in the UK. so I will have to go back to get it changed and I don't have any plans to go back as yet. There are no known solutions to these issues? I would have preferred a solution here otherwise this will be my last resort to send it via someone back home and get it exchanged. thanks for your reply.
I would like to share my experience of Nokia 808 Pureview. it's not too much just because of busy life.
kindly check it and tell me how to improve it. these are original not edited.

I have been using 808 from over six months now and had N8 and N9 before this. I was really looking forward to using this and getting rid of both N8 and N9 and replace them with one phone. in the beginning it was just great but my network issues seem to be getting more and more. it keeps on getting disconnected from the network, both mobile network and wifi as well. Whoever call me just complain that my phone is off and they couldn't get through to me. I searched online and found that this is somewhat of an issue with 808, but couldn't really find a solution. Can any of you please help me regarding this because i really don't want to jump the windows bandwagon just now and want to enjoy my last symbian phone which i have had the pleasure to use so many of.

Many aptions being brought from older versions. Now theme effects can be ON or OFF. Superb UI. flawless and impressive response. Battery is good no problem yet. Music is a bit louder than default and has many good preset equalizer. Now 808 is completely in a new look and fashion inside the screen. Just have a look at DELIGHT CFW V 1.0. Author says updating to upcoming changes is also easy and no need to flash the device completely.:):););)

I have recently used my friend's lumia 620, its really hard to predict the os behaviour. I tried to upload photo on Facebook from browser, a real surprise came with message 'sorry you can't upload to fb from browser'.... first time I thought there is some connection error but after trying many times I found the browser don't support this.how funny is that even my nokia 3110 (2008) dumbphone can do this but nokia's latest and only smartphone os can't. Bluetooth sharing also very limited as you can share images and videos from camera roll (but the bt sharing appear after turning bluetooth onn) and not for all images and videos. A few more problems with wp8 os are
No file manager...
no fm radio....
No zoom in during video recording....
Touch to capture instead of touch to focus only which takes unwanted images with faded details.
Volume controll unpredicted.
Some apps doesn't work with 2g connection....
Menu touch key in most of the apps ( all the apps i have tried) is very small a few dots only like '...' located just above capacitive touch search key which takes you to search screen of os and it happens quite often.
Camera produces blurry images. ( problem in image processing algorithm of wp8 os as 6 years old n93 produces sharper and detailed images compared to lumia 620)..
Battery backup problem (even worse than android os and nowhere near to symbian)...
Problem with fonts ( title fonts are too big taking big part of srcreen area and very small content font in most apps)...
No dedicated notification area ( android, symbian, ios and bb10 all have this)
Weird task manager.
No smart dial. Surprise....surrprise...surprise. all samsung dumbphones have smart dial.
No audio contoll from headphones.
No third party open browser. Supports browser based on wp internet explorer only...
Apps have heigher price tag compared to android.
There are many more shortcomings of wp8 os even more than 100 but the post is already too long. All in all wp8 is a mind bogging os and the only advantage of wp8 over symbian is support, it has all the support from nokia and ms.
To be a symbian fan, I always want nokia to bring back symbian to market.

anyhow i switched back to Nokia 808 :D should i post a video why i switched back to symbian. i think symbian is much powerful. and stable, easy to use and specially not that much boring.
Ziad Mohamed, 06 Jul 2013Hi Carol, Siva, dear little brother pureview is the best, joy 808, MDN, George 12, shere, Gitt... moreVery very nice! Especially good job with the macros with blurred backgrounds. How close can you get for a macro shot? On N8 it's around 10 cm, but they say the 808 needs more distance (20-30 cm). Both have wide-angle lens. But looking at the photos it seems even with this drawback you can get terrific results. ;-)
