this is my phone right here!!
i was gonna get nokia n93i untill i saw this baby i right away changed my mind lmao
I have got three of these Nokia 8110 phones, two of them still working without problems. Yes, they are big with BLJ-5 Li-ion battery and relatively heavy too. The sound quality is just excellent. During the almost 10 years, the only things I have learned to dislike are the dim, deep display, glumsy user interface, dull colours, the utterly annoying ringtones and the sticking antenna. I would never buy this product again - even though i was happy to buy them in 1998.
does anyone know if it is possible to take a gsm 900 phone and make it gsm 850...
or...does anyone know how to make this phone work in the united states? thanks
Awsome phone... can't get enough of it. I'm not using it anymore, but sometimes... somedays.... I just can't hold myself... I have to use it.
cool its the matrix phone!
I still know a person who uses this phone and is still connected to the "OPERATOR" ....
My name be a neo i like this phone a very much
Yes, it's the Matrix phone.
I can't believe how many people are talking in 2006 about this phone :)
One thing's for sure, you didn't have 2 megapixel cameras or 3D graphics back then, but phones were more reliable than nowadays!
This is thr MATRIX phone?
I would like to know if any software or mechanisms can be installed in the nokia 8110 so that it can slide automatically (without destroying the original software inside..). I have the nokia 8110, but after reading the replies, it sounds like the nokia 8110i is better. What do you suggest?
I just wanted to ask why do they don't make phones with accept reply cost anymore. I think it would be a hit among those people who are constantly a little above zero on their prepaid accounts.
I can't believe nobody of you people mentioned that this is the only phone that has 'Accept reply cost' feature for sending SMS (you can pay for the one you send and the one that was replied). I had one, 8110 (model from 1996), and now I bought another one, also plain 8110. But, there is 8110i model (which was actually in the movie), from 1998 - GSMArena does make mistakes :) I would like to buy 8110i (it has 10 menu features, instead of 7 in the plain, and light gray border around the screen, instead dark gray). Contact me for more information, if interesed.
it was my first phone & i loved to use it. it is very user freindly & easy to use.
Hello folks...The deal is what our fiend rightly said...It is for those fanatic phone collectors...I too own one...I have to get it repaired though...But I am a proud owner if 8110 even if it does not work!!!
CHEERS!!!
The phone got immortalized in the movie "The Matrix" as this is the phone Neo uses to contact Morpheus ...
However, if i were Morpeus i wouldnt choose that phone to send to Neo to contact me :-P LoL. Even for its time it was a bulky and big phone.
I Guess the movie producers choosed it because of its high-tech ( at least by 1999 standards ) looks
It was my first phone... my first love...
yep the Nokia Banana...I used to have one, darn I still feel sad for selling it :s
I just got this phone on a $99 plan with $45 for the phone. Im so exited, it actually holds 125 contact! im lovin this phone!! i can use it when im travelling on my cougar.
Matrix jas it too i thin
This isn't the nokia banana fone is it because my dad used to have one back in 1997, damn I loved this fone, it was wicked back then!
