Best phone nokia have released. The radio on this was awesome and the menu was very easy to navigate. Also is still the best looking phone to date especially with the blue and white cover. Love the way the lights shine shrough the keypad. Much better than most nokias today

Melia, 10 Jan 2009This phone has been with me for a long time..about ten years.and it's still works perfectly, d... moreten years? are u sure? ten years ago NOKIA just even started mobile phone division.. which they launch first mobile phones (BIG like bricks. This mobile phones is launched around 2001 - 2002 which is only 6 - 7 years ago :P LOL
nice phone. 1st nokia phone ever to have an fm rcvr. one of the smallest & has nice colors also, was using the blue & yellow
Ive been using this phone lately because my samsumg u700 broke.. not because of a fall or because i spilled something on it.. it just broke, so unreliable
anyways been using this one and even played snake 2 with a friend of mine who had it from 8 years ago like me.. these are awesome and should be remade
battery is still going at its best!
kitty, 29 Jan 2009I just bought one (secondhand), because I'm fed up with modern mobile phones. there is just to... moreoh yeah, and I like the fact that it is made in Finland and not in China :)
and the design is the BEST.
I've had a 7260 which is made in Germany, I gave that one to my mum and she adores it.
it's so much fun to read all these reviews about the 8310, it proves I'm not mad because I'm so mad about this phone :)
I just bought one (secondhand), because I'm fed up with modern mobile phones. there is just too much software and other bullsh** on them, they keep crashing and if you drop them, they are broken. all my friends have problems with their new phones.
and I just don't need all that rubbish, I use my phone for texting mainly, I don't need a camera or gps-tracker or internet.
the old nokias are the best. my mum and dad still use their phones from 1999 and never had problems with it.
so I decided to sell my new nokia and get the 8310, which I have always loved, but never had.
now I have one that looks like new (the owner must have cared about it a lot :))
and got some covers to change the look from time to time. it's just brilliant, simple and efficient, looks great, it's almost a cult object now, retro is cool and not dull.
a five star phone for the retro lovers.i bought the phone in 2002 and still use it today....although i have other newer ones.wow..!!!
Is the text font quite large, or can one set the font size?
This phone has been with me for a long time..about ten years.and it's still works perfectly, despite the fact that it had been crushed by a car, fallen into the toilet bowl, dropped dozens of time..i love this phone.it's the best phone then any other modern phones these days.
this is by far the best hands down phone ever created by nokia. if they upgraded it to a 3g version, it would sell billions like its predecessor. dont sell this phone if you still have one! it cannot be easily destroyed!
Alon Diamant, 10 Nov 2008I bought my Nokia 8310 about 6 years ago. 6 years of it serving me perfectly - it has good ... morei have a 8310 them bad good phone
I bought mine a few months ago from someone for 15 euros :). I bought a new battery and it works great. One of the nicest phones from Nokia!
I bought my Nokia 8310 about 6 years ago.
6 years of it serving me perfectly - it has good sound, good reception, is very small and light and has a very long battery life.
It survived falls, spills and other calamities. Simply amazing.
Some negative points:
* SMS folders take a while to open, if full.
* You can't listen to the radio without an included earphone.
It doesn't have any fancy 3G or 3.5G features, doesn't have a color screen, can't play any music other than its polyphonic speaker ringtones and has a small amount of games and applications. But who cares? Who needs all of this stuff?
I am also using 8310, I love the performance, so handy and cute. What I really appreciated a lot is that this kind of phone is durable and until now you can buy some housing or casing available in any super markets.
I think I got this phone in 2003-4. What amazes me with this phone is its battery. I haven't changed the battery and it still allows me to talk for hours. Amazing. Since I don't listen to radio nor music using earphones, these features are superfluous to me. One of the downsides for me is, when the message in-box is a bit full, it takes time to load the messages up (to read, or to erase). Another is that the "back space" button has become difficult to use. Sometimes it does not erase the previous characters that I type. However some days it seems it heals itself. Other than these, this phone is 10 out of of 10.
I had used a lot of nokia models and brands up to the latest pda's. Got tired of the of latest features and benefits which mobile phones has to offer but most often they are of no use or to expensive to use. Went back to basics, purchased last October 1, 2008 a 8310 at a bidding website. Though it was 2nd hand, the unit was well loved and in Immaculate condition. Nothing comes close to old school mobile phones like the 8310 and most especially the memories in brings back.
the most beautiful, stylish set i ever used..
my most favourite set of nokia.
8310 i love you
well i m using this set since 2001 and its a wonderful set.i love it :p
I have 8310 since 2001 and I am still using it now. I prefer nokia cellphone than other.
