Having to list all of your physical assets on a mobile review forum..... sounds like a midlife crisis to me! I own a pair of Calvin Klein boxers, but u dont hear me bragging do you!
I dont need this phone to 'make friends' or try to make out im successful. I like it because its original and sheexy!
Unlike all the other plastic, mass-produced phones on the market the 8800 will never be available free when you take out a new contract. It will never be as common as the v3's, k750i's etc and unless your a techno-geek whose main attraction is all the functions, this phone is easily the No1.
Sorry if I rubbed people the wrong way. I did not mean to put anyone down who can't afford the phone. I was poor once too.
Hehe.. this is really funny.. I worked in telecommunication company, it is just a phone. Sooner or later there will be another series.. why everyone is bragging about it? haha
Automobile :- I own two Ferraris, one Lamborghini, two Porsche, three Mercedes(one Maybach), one BMW, one Bently & one Rolls Royce.
Motoryacht :- A 150ft Benetti, A 60ft Riva & two small speed boat.
Property :- I own a lot of property around the globe.
Business :- Crude Oil & metal.
If you are as wealthy as I am, than you don't have to show off with a stupid phone !
Hand phone like this 8800 is only for my bodyguard & my servents !
I am personally using a Motorola V3 & a Samsung D500.
Some of you don't understand my point. I didn't buy the 8800 to show others I'm important... I AM important. The phone is just a byproduct of my success. I don't want to sound like a braggart, but if someone has this phone I know we have something in common. It just like sharing common interests in cars or homes or watches (I own two Pateks if you are wondering) Also, once this phone becomes as common or as cheap as the razor - I'll will move on to the next fad. It's fun to enjoy the fruits of your labor and buy the lastest toys. And right now the 8800 is the best toy you can buy.
Use only a 1,000 US dollar phone to show others you've made it ... sound like a joke to me !!! ... these poor people must have never seen money !!!
If you are wealthy or famous; people will know without you saying !!! Use a USD 1,000 phone to show that you are wealthy ... I wonder how wealthy these people can be ???!!!
thiz phone suxs . quite ugly, like a air conditioner remote control onli
i like the look of this phone but i haven't seen one in real life yet. this must be a pretty good phone the way everyone says that it makes you feel important. if that's the case it could good down as one of the all-time best phones ever made. only time will tell.
Why is it the 8800 above all other phones defines a person as who she or he is? I don't get it.
Descret (a shop in Beverly Hills)is still getting $2,800us for the 8800!!! I was told two went to A-list actors (they are not allowed to give out their names). Don't be surprised if this phone starts turing up in major pictures and television! It most definately is THE biggest status symbol to hit the US in the last year.
yesterday i went to the handphone shop n ask the salesman how much is nokia 8800 n he told me brother dont get angry n pls look into the mirror before u ask me the price n i was shock the way he answer n i told him hey mr sales man look at ur self in the mirror before u sell hp n sales man like u no 1 would come to ur shop n lucky i am a good person or i would have complain to ur boss n sales man stare at me n i spit outside his shop left home

for a simple reliable phone it is bloody expensive! other than that I think it is great...........who needs all those bloody features like high megapixel camera's hd's and the like..........if you want all that go for a bloody pda or a laptop.....oh sorry in this day and age all you yuppies have all of the above.........but c'mon how many of these features do you really use?
2 major letdowns - the weight & the talktime...
if u put those aside....this is absolute heaven..
Norm you are right. Please don't think I'm bragging but I have made it in life. I have a large home, beautiful wife, my children go to private school, I dive a Mercedes, and I have the 8800. I know it's not politcally correct to list ones own virtues but being at the top of ones game is no crime. I've worked hard my whole life and deserve this phone. And, I admit, I enjoy all the looks I get whenever I pull it out. At the hospital, where I practice, several attractive nurses have even asked what it is and where I got it.
Fact: there is only one phone in tday's marketplace that says to the world - I have arrived.
The nokia 8800 embodies all the best that there is. It's like an exclusive sprots car, or 120 wool suit, or a house with an ocean view.
I wish I could afford this phone but right now I cannot. But I do envy/admire the people that can. They are obviosuly powerful people who want to stand out from the crowd. Someday I want to be one of them. And I'm sure all of you do too.
The Nokia isn't just a phone, it's a symbol of success.
yo. anyone know how much this fone cost? i dont think its that bad. but there should be some buttons outside the steel like the d500.
Material is only STEEL ...not even ALUMINIUM, how expensive could it be ?
