I have a Vertu & this 8800 is nowhere even close... it feels cheap even compare to the motorola V3... not to mention my Vertu.

I have an 8910 and am looking for a replacement. Not that I need one as the 8910 has been faultless for the last 3 years. As for not having a host of features it has the ones that I want and need. I already have a Wi-fi, bluetooth Pda with a 4" screen and a 5 megapixel digital camera. What I want is a small high quality phone with good features that I want in a phone and conectivity with my PDA. This is it the 8800 is the right phone for a small segment of the market that already have 8 series nokia phones

I just ordered mine after getting afeel of the phone. It's an amazing phone. It does not feel like a cheap plastic phone like all the ones out there, including the v3. It's very solid, like a vertu. The color on the screen is very crisp. The slide has a solid feel, just give it a nudge and it will open by itself. There is only one downside, I think, and it's the menu button. It's too small. You need to use your fingertips to control it. Other than that, it's the best fashion phone out there. It's about time.

Have heard that the initial phones released have some kind of glitch. Is there any factual proof of this? Anyone else heard of this situation?

I think the phone is sweeeeeet! There is not really too many other phones that can be compared to it. It is in a different ballpark than the V3 and most others.

is a sexy phone and can be consider v3 killer...keke...myr 3988...is da most expensive fashion phone in town but i still think v3 black is da most sexiest of all with slimness of it that make it da killer of it and keypad as well...N8800 is more like VERTU (www.vertu.com)try to compare it and see..for vertu their feature is almost same with N8850 or any 8 series nokia, the of N8800 is almost like holding a vertu. If someone wanted to feel how does vertu feel like can try out this look a like N8800...

So sweet.. V3 killer. I'm glad the phone is as expensive as it is. The v3 was a little like a cheap BMW, everyone could afford it, that killed the exclusiveness of the model. I also pray that Nokia can deliver better looking menus than the v3. If not, then I too would consider this one overpriced. (For the record: I can´t afford this phone!)

Just played with the real thing.

Comment:
Forget it!!! This phone is not as nice looking as the Motorola V3. The material of this 8800 is not as good as the V3's. This Nokia is also over price.......should worth only half their retail price. This is not a 'baby' VERTU as expected......far from it!!! I am really quite disappointed.

I just received my 8800 yesterday. From a single days'use, I can conclude that its an amazing phone. The mere feel of the phone in the hand is so smooth that I don't want to part from the phone even for a minute.

Hahaha, first of all....no phone can be used "in the microwave". For starters it would melt. And come on, lets think for a second. Why, or how, would you make a call/send a text....in a microwave? Or underwater for that matter. Someone has been misinformed...and silly enough to believe it. Hahaha. PS. Does anyone think Leon sounds like he is boasting (anyone who buys it on the day has the privlege of getting their name carved in it, in finland, and a BMW drivers course). Woop de doo. Theres no need to brag.
