Mobile of the Year; well deserved! This goes to show that it's not always about cramming a shed-loads of features into the nearest plastic shell. GO NOKIA!
I don't like my 8800, infact I'm planning to throw it out! I only got it for my 14th birthday last year and I'm already sick of it!
I would keep it if it had a MMC slot or atleast like 256mb worth of memory!
Don't want to make all you, proud owners of 8800 be disappointed but I know one very interesting mobile phone with the design absolutely the same as 8800 but in candy bar form factor with card slot and 1 mpx camera, big 256k screen and more with the price nearly equal to 200 usd... want some details - just mail me ori at proc.ru
so where is that luxurity you are talking about now?
Why ppl being stereotype and u know when something get fixed with genuine company there is nothing to replace with it
do any1 know how to take 8800 apart as i bought the gold housing and i need 2 fit it.
also does any1 know where i can get the black housing?
I work in a shop that sells phones and do not think the 8800 is very good, we have had several complaints about this fone, the main one being that as soon as you answer a phone you are disconnected it regulary drops calls and the key pad is just too small.I am a Nokia fan but do not rate this one at all, there are much better fones out there for the money
the nokia8800 is relly good phone camera and matt steel body it is luxuruous and beautiful this phone is made for the person who stand for good style like me.
i've had my nokia 8800 for 3months and relized that it's the worst fone ever. The fone constantly freezes, switches off and drops calls like crazy. My advice stay away and don't let the brilliant look catch ur attention!!
This phone is briliant, everytime you use it, people always make a comment!!! Thats a phone,
worst ever picked up on the 28/12/05, froze, switches on and off and cant hear a thing on the 30/12/05, took back on to repairer on the 07/01/2006 for replacement, recieved it on the 18/02/06, adv no 2 week replacement period, phone prblems again on the 19/02/06. WORST EVER
it is for people who dont want to have the same phone as everybody else and are willing to pay more. They did the same with an expensive titanium version of that really small nokia phone/
This phone has plenty of decent features. Not as many or perhaps as good as other phones currently available, but it is has such quality build and a reassuring weight to it. It feels as though it's been hand crafted rather than churned out of a factory. I'm actually down-grading in terms of spec (currently own a Samsung SGH-E730), to this model because I've realised I don't use many of my phone's features to their full extent, if at all; features that so many people seem to crave/demand from mobiles these days. I guess as I get older I'd much prefer a good solid well made handset and not a plastic, function overloaded; under-used model. Plus, this phone will retain it's value for months to come.
the phone is nice but they should reduce the price. the price is too much.i really love the phone but i can't afford a phone over $600.
u r really paying for the "shiny stainless stell", and the box for this phone! Have u seen the box?? It's amazing... forget about the phone!
I Paid £450 as haggled with this GuY. The black one is nice but everyone thinks it's an 8910I til they see the Mechanish open.
I like the Silver ONE BETTER but hey what's colour?
The selling point of this phone is the shiny stainless steel case........don't even understand why people want the black color one, beats me!!!!!!!!
