Harley Davidson have been using that kind of system for the on-board stereos on their "Electra-Glide" bikes for over 10years,i.e when you pull on the throttle to accelerate, the volume increases, and when you slow down the volume decreases. So that kind of system is OLD NEWS.Some versions of Car Blue Tooth units use your Car speakers etc, so Again... OLD NEWS.
Just read your latest post, you've pretty much convinced me to buy it, all I have to do now is to wait till Mon/Tues for the new stock to arrive.
I have just purchased this phone. It is great and goes great with my Maserati 3200GT. Had a custom made holder put in and it looks great. I get a lot of looks from both the phone and the car. Am thinking about get my other partners in my law firm these phones as thankyou Gifts. They are a great phone with great features.
"The Sweet Sound of My 8800!"
I just signed the contract to upgrade my car's sound systmem. As part of the package we're going to build in an adaptor so that I can answer and talk on my Nokia 8800 through the sound system - 2000 watts!!! Even with the top down, volume will be no problem. And - get this - the sound will lower and rise automatically depending on how fast I'm going!!!!
Has anyone else done the same?
Life does not get any better...
i was thinking about an 8800, but concerned over the 64mb on board memory. i cant understand why it isn't upgradeable, or has an MMC slot?
can anyone give an idea of how many pictures or how much video time can be stored on the phone before its full?
thanks in advance, gringo
having had this phone for 3 days ...... i have to say i am very pleased with it .... i got 2 battries and the illuminated charger is truly vibrant...
All the talk about the voice being low, battries running out and so on i have to say is nonsense.....
A1 phone truly and honestly...
Don't believe all the rubbish people are saying about this phone honestly it is simply AMAZING !!!!!!
Firstly i'm 29, and secondly I saw what you wrote, but what I don't understand is, you seem to hate the phone so much, and constantly whinge and moan about it, saying you'll never buy another one etc, and yet you let your mom buy one when it's such an awful phone, you want your mom to suffer the same phone trouble as you? as thats what it seems you are doing. There are Plenty of other nice looking phones, just for calling, but maybe now we'll get your mom posting and blasting the 8800 too. *shrug*
1. I said my mom like the look of the 8800.
2. I said she only use the phone for making
incoming & outing calls ONLY!
I am sorry to say, but you do sound more like a 3 year old kid who can't even read well!
i've a 8800..about 2 days...and i've read a part of these opinions...i'm from romania, and i want to know just one thing: abour the battery..it's true that the phone pack has 2 of them, they have 600 mAh..i wnat to know the battery life with 20-30 min talking/day..you can sent me your conclusion at my email..thx
ANYTHING is possible in "Make BeliveLand",
Infact when i'm there, I own a Ferrari Enzo and give out 8800's to everyone I meet free,as i get own soooooooooooooo many of them.
*Poof* Back to Reality
What's the average price people have paid for their 8800's? (preferably just the Set, not special contract rates etc). As here in Malta, the 8800 is selling for around $1120, which is pretty expensive for a phone, especially if the battery doesn't last a day. Please let me know what you've paid for your phones, except Ty, as i'm sorry to say, i don't value your opinion one bit.
Maybe because the 8800 is the ONLY thing that you actually own out of all the things you say you own? Or maybe it could be that if some poor soul DOES say hello to you, you shove the 8800 in their face before you have chance to say hello back.
Star attraction -
My local mall has a Nikola store - they informed me the 8801 will be released in November/December in the U.S. at a price of 795 or 895.
I pulled out my 8800 from my shoulder holster, the Nokia guy pulled out a 8801 from the cabinet (a demo model only). A small crowed formed asking all sorts of quesitons.
I swear I get more attention from my 8800 then I do from my new 645 BMW or my new Sony TX ultralight latop! Can anyone explain why?
If the 8800 is such a bad phone, and you've had 5 (ALL with problems) and swore you'd never buy another one, can you Please tell me WHY you then bought one for your mom?, as all you've done is slate the phone, saying how truly awful it is.
Hey gyus.. watta great mobile, well looks good, i got a friend who has one he told me its rubbish can not understand why, so i ask him. he told me man, battery life is too poor for a 256k it´s dischargin fastly its battery. then i agreed with him . it´s rubbish!!!!!
First of all, I have a Nokia 9300, and am bored with it, as basically i'm a gadget freak and love mobile phones, i've had Loads of Nokia's , p800, p900, p910 etc and now I have the 9300.I'm SERIOUSLY considering the 8800 as it looks amazing, but as ppl have said, it's Expensive, not that I mind spending the cash if it exceeds my expectations, but i'm Worried about the Battery life, and I, like a lot of ppl who bought the 8800 don't really care about camera quality, music etc, as i have a good digital camera, and an iPod etc.
i've read all the reviews, and it seems VERY mixed, so i'm still pretty confused :/
Secondly TY wtf is your prob? this is a Phone
discussion forum. NOT a script from "Days of Our Lives", is your life really THAT sad, and to be honest, where did you study to become a doctor or whatever? cos you have serious trouble spelling.
gosh most of you people are real losers oaning about such a excellent piece of workmanship. sit lovely looking alongside black ipod nano
dont moan about what you cant afford kiddies
i cant understand why people are constantly saying how poor this phone is, i got mine 3 days ago and have had no problems whatsoever, the screen is very clear, i have yet to have to charge the battery, the camera is good (bearing in mind as you cant actually take proper photo's of any professional quality unless it is at least 5MP), i wanted a phone that looks good, feels good, and does what i want and need from a phone, i have a digital camera so i dont need a camera on my phone, i have an MP3 player so i dont need that, the price of this phone doesnt concern me, it just means that the people buying this phone are people who can afford a top quality mobile phone that ticks all the boxes and covers them very well, i personally dont want to walk down the street and see 20 people using the same phone as me, its about distinction.
i think thhe 880 is crap it is too heay i have fat fingers so i find the buttons are too small
I decided to treat my key staff for our ten years together with the 8800 (with engraving). They were thrilled! Got a good quanity discount -850.00 US for seven phones.
That makes 11 I've purchased - without a single problem. Nokia has excellent quality control.
I'm first in line for the black version.
