in reply talal masood, nokia 8800 has same features with 6230i. But the intended market for nokia 8800 is much for the higher class, this phone has the "hectic" and "style" image where a 6230i doesnt have any of that. This is what your paying for in the nokia 8800 and that is the intended market. A 6230i is about $500-600, there not around 300
OK, i drive a pulsar, why, because it didn't cost me the earth, and it has electronic windows, air bags and cruise control. People may not look at it and say that is the sexiest car around, it cost me 15000. Why spend over a grand on a phone which doesn't have anything special, i might be a tight ass, but god dam, you don't need a chain saw to cut a birthday cake.
Indeed,it really sucks it's mostly for hypocrits who consider a phone's only purpouse is to brag & show off in front of others. No offence to the owners but you can get way better performance for much lower price. It sucks and it doesn't worh all that money.Try a SE W800 or Samsung D500.This is really worthless
hmm i bought this phone from dubai..plugin electronics 2 months ago for like 1100$ its a great phone...i just love it...i no the camera's not so good...but i didnt bought it for its camera...u all of to agree..it has class..but the problem is its price is dropping..
i had this phone the first week it came out proud it in dubai and it's the best looking phone on the market today ok the feautures are the same as the 6230i but come on guys it's a sexy phone i had a lot of complaimets on it
To be honest it is foolish to buy Nokia8800 costing $1000 when you can get Nokia6230i with same exact features for $300+
I agree with Premium. Hey man - why would some dude with so much cash and has his life together be bothering to talk to us? No way I would.
i hear every1 complaining about the lack of features and then they complain about the price!!! all i will say is just imagine how much this unit would cost if it had the best of the best features included!!! maybe that's why they made this phone the way it is, to keep the cost down for the consumers... that's my opinoin anyway...
Speak for yourself. I think this Ty guy speaks much truth. Like Nickelson said, Some poeple can't handle the truth
cant be beaten
hate it or love
ones who hate it cant afford 1...
ones who have it got class.......
by far the best ever phone made, untouchable!!!!!!
those who say its crap simply cant afford one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"What the Nokia 8800 Cell Phone Means to Me."
That's the name of the report my daughter is writing for her first day of school. (She came up with this completely on her own!)
I decided to let her read some of the reactions to my posts on this thread. She was very sad about how upset people were. We talked about it - and she realized that many people are afraid of success.
We vacationed in Budapest and Prague this summer and met many people who were acting as if the communists still ruled their land -no passion, no drive, no desrie to better their lives.
My little one feels that the Nokia 8800 is a symbol of hard work and success. She hopes that people will strive to own one rather then making fun or being angry at the people who have worked hard to achieve the best things in life.
I am very proud of Zoe. She is wise way beyond her 11 years. She wants everyone on this web site to know she will carry her 8800 as a symbol of pride and fredom - and hopes to inspire poor people whenever she uses it.
Who would ever think a cell phone would function as a life lesson for children?
i have a story to tell u people n last month i went to a handphone which is located in s,pore n just to peek at this baby nokia 8800 n i played with this phone less than 5mins n a salesman came n told me that this phone only for rich n spolit what does that suppose to be n i am very upset about this n i may not be rich but i have my pride n walk out his shop n spit outside at his corridor n went back home n forget the whole incident
When you get past the flashy looks you actually end up with a BIG, HEAVY, CLUMSY phone with a SMALL SCREEN, POOR CAMERA, APALLING MEMORY, - and a massive dent in your wallet.
this phone sucks!
this phone have fetures like all other nokia average phones like 6600 then why its price is so heavy. its apperance is also not so attractive. its just a piece of steel
got it free on a contract line for £35/mnth and 400 cross network min from http://www.sify.com
Gave the 8801 to my chauffeur since I am using my new Vertu. He kind of like it and use it to show off to other people when driving around Rodeo drive in my Rolls Royce convertible or my ENZO Ferrari. I am thinking of giving him my old Vertu since I am using the new one...because I believe it's a better match. What do you guys think?
Love from Bel Air, L.A.
this phone is ugly !!! cheap metal and the feature is still same. can not compare with my nokia 8250. 8800 doesn`t have b&w screen, snake game ,the screen is white and stupid price $ 1500. mine 8250 has eeverything plus screen blue ellegant and the price $ 50.
I ordered the 645Ci Convertible Black/Black. Those of you that have this model, or are familiar with it, know that there is a flimsy cup holder attached to the front consol.
I want to remove the cup holder and have a docking station fabricated for my 8800. (I got the idea from a friend that has an older Nokia mounted in his golf cart). Has anyone done something like this for their 8800? The BMW dealer won't touch it so I am forced to go aftermarket. It has to be lockable since I frequently park with the top down. And it has to allow the top portion of the case to slide up and down. The only quote I've gotten is just north for $1,500. Too much, I think. If anyone has any experience in mounting their 8800 to their car or boat please post.
