Freak accident. I dropped my 8800 - about a 4 foot free-fall and then down a flight of concrete stairs (9 in all). I'm happy to report NO problem except for a very slight scrape mark on the bottom edge which I will try to get buffed out. If it won't come out I'll give the 8800 to my
11-year old daughter and get another for myself. Fantasic phone - and now I can say wihout a doubt - VERY WELL MADE. (Lesser phones whold have been busted in pieces)
oh Hell yeh, i would prefer the W800i anyday. Not only are the features tonnes better, but it even looks better. $1469 is waaay to much to pay for a piece of scrap metal with Nokia written on it. must admit, it does feel nice to hold, but don't fall for that old trick. They suck you in with the feeling of importance, then spit you out with software errors and lack of features. Nasty nasty!
ha,,ha,,nokia connecting people money....excellent!!!i got 1 nokia,,function so weak,style good,,,,so i have 2 buy se w800i 2 get the function,,then both i can have......
beware of nokia 8800 because i seen 1 of my collegue using it n got bored of it n no mmc, limited memory, battery get weaks very fast n camera sucks n 1 main reason to hate the phone is the price $1,500 n npw my friend is making a big loss due to trade in for w800i n he still top up 80 bucks n nokia is losing their connecting people if their still producing this type of phone n i have 1 word n nokia connecting to people money
iam in the uk i wrk for a T-mobile we havent taken this phone on as of yet but i think it will be hard to sell as the price is silly money even on hi tarrifs in my own opion its nokias v3 razor it looks good and thats realy it.....
This is a game played by Nokia to make people feel that this phone is exclusive .... this is a psycological game!
i work for a UK network operator, i can sadly advise everyone waiting for this phone that it will be in short supply throughout Europe until the end of september.. . . . . .
At my hospital all the docs compared phones - money is no objects to my collegues. All agreed that my 8800 was the best looking, best feeling, best designed phone of the bunch. In short, if you can afford to run with the pros, I highly suggest you do it.
Scratch Proof glass?? Nokia...how about a bullet proof glass?? R u building a car or phone??
although the 8800 has a very nice design, nokia should improve highly, the camera features of all their handsets. this 8800 is not even i megapixel. cheap labour
You know... I am one of these people who would NEVER buy a nokia phone but this is one phone i would consider buying.
size does matter n v3 is better choice mr helpless n i prefer to donate tsunami victims than buying this phone
i check this phone price when its launch n cost $1,500 in singapore n now its price going down day by day n now cost $1,300 but still costly n not really interested in this phone but observe its price like share market
I know perhaps nokia wan to try something new as they've tried a titanium cover phone..Btw,wad makes it so expensive?is it the ball bearings system used in porsche sport cars?
Good phone... but why not a titanium cover?
His price diserve a titanium one...
about to buy but better wait for the i edition, remember nokia always comes in pair, definitely comes with card slot,mp camera, love to have a black edition..cheers..
Well all Features are excellent Specially SVGA & Scratch proof Glass, but it lacks RS-MMC only for that reason i didn't buy yet.
i hope Nokia will made mobile having SVGA + RS-MMC Slot, & Scratch Proof Glass.
Sorry for my english grammer.
