Same as the Nokia 6500...
Why no in-call timer shown???!!! and why is there no call time record???!!!
Why are those fonts & icons so small???!!!
What's wrong with Nokia S40 platform???!!!
Nice material used & well made, nice to hold too....but the software/hardware sucks!
I like classie phone. I used many kind. I had N70, W900, W960, V3, iphone, W810, 8800 and vertue hehehee my dads one. I like Nokia the most. It is easy to use. Now i'm carrying 8800 but i'm buying this Arte when i get to Bangkok. This 8800 series attract me alot. The style of the phone is nice, nice to hold, and your ears is cool when you talk with it, because the metal is touching the ear.
Yes it can Sam. I am using it on Fido in Toronto as we speak.
Stuart, I still have my old 8890 :)
This is a fashion phone thats why it costs 1200E.And it doesn`t compare with N82, because thats a performance phone.Further more the materials used for this phone is much superior than those used for N82.It's not made out of ordinary plastic...
Some people like different things in a phone, this phone is just pure class, I still have my 8800 an will be getting this soon. To me features are a bonus, the most important thing is the look and feel of a phone.
bought this phone the other day, upgraded from the sirocco. this phone is in a league of its own it doesnt even try comparing to any other handset. the amount of ppl bagging it shows its got style. ppl hate wot they cant have..
What the hell is this? 1200 euros for what? I can not believe this. My n82 is 100 times better than this phone. I suppose this is phone for the people who have a lot of money and don't have a clue about phones or anything else
hi. can i please know if battery time is satisfactory? I used 8800 silver which was really very poor in battery timining.
optus is selling the phone for $50/month on a $49 contract for 24 months...think thats good enough a value looking at the kinda phones telstra is selling (imate 8502 etc) on a $100/m 24 month contracts!!! at least optus gives you $300 worth of calling value...unlike telstra that only give $90 in a $100 cap...
Mine is currently version 6.40 software...
But it's getting elf'd due to a couple of small problems.
Other than that i love this phone
hey guys...planning to buy this phone, i absolutely love it...but is there any way to read word documents that come in as email attachments??? really need to know that....
Oh My Gah!
@ Vodafone in AUSTRALIA this phone to buy outright is $1799!!!!! WTF!!!!!
Has ANYONE actually brought this phone?!?!
It's not even that great. For $1799 I would expect it to be like something from Inspector Gadget
The latest version is 5.22 since 20-12-07! Version 5.21 was from 30-11-07.
I'm on my 3rd 8800 Arte(just received it today & is still charging for the first time). The first two come with 5.21 & this newest one with 5.22.
I also brought a 8800 Sapphire Arte today for my mom; and it is the same 5.22 version as the latest 8800 Arte(also dated 20-12-07).
I bet 5.22 has got to be the latest version; not the 5.21!
When will new official update come for this awesome phone? Now it is 5.21
The build quality of this phone is very good. In fact, nothing else comes close that is why it costs so much. I have been using this phone for the last 6 weeks and i don't have any complaints. This phone for being a non smart phone still has some great features and the keypad is very easy to use. I text quite a bit and its so easy on this keypad because your finger just seems to slide from one key to another very quickly. The texting interface is a joy to use too! Yes this phone does cost a lot. But if you want a very very good quality phone, with good features this is the phone for you. I highly recommend!!
