sms, 20 Aug 2008Carrying a 150g phone like carrying a stone in your pocket. Stupid Nokia. Are you saying this high-end phone should be as light as a sheet of paper or polythene? Think of it. Can you compare Made in england Compaq Computer with China made computer that are light as anything?
emad, 20 Aug 2008tell me what makes this phone so high ?The high cost resulted from: 1) The materials used for the body. 2) Quality resulting from the aforementioned. 3) The design itself. 4) Host of other functions.
this cellphone is imo the beauty from nokia omg 4gb intern design is 1a i think .
I'm actually a bored by these arte designs now. Let's see something more original.
For the pple saying this is a stupid phone ect.. well 1st of all get ur hands on it before stating any comments. i had the Sample in my hands a week ago and this phones is worth every penny. and speaking of the keypad it is improved u can type the numbers easly + the pad is bigger in a way and so comfortable.
before judgin see it/feel it/use it then judge...
for all 8800 fans this is an outstanding phone and u wont regret buying it at all..
Looks like a great phone, but I don't want to buy anything that reminds me of China, with number 8's in it :))
Sex Machine, 20 Aug 2008Wth !?!?!?!I have this phone and your issues never happened to me perhaps if you would know ho... moreI'm sorry you had to launch a tirade against me based on your prejudices. I am a real person, and this did indeed happen to me. Not because I took poor care of my phones but because that's how they were built. Get a life.
a stylish, featureless, status symbol of a phone.
then again, if you buy this phone (or any of the Arte series) you're not interested in features... you want a phone that will turn heads and you can't afford a Vertu :P
I just hope they improve the number pad with this one, the other Artes have it so close to the top bit of the slide that using the '1', '2' or '3' buttons will give you arthritis in your thumbs lol
I like the titanium and carbon fibre body... if the Sonim XP1 is for construction workers, this phone is for the president of the construction company lol
still i miss the nokia 7110 which i used @ 2000.
8800 series remind me those days.
i love this model and the look.
Great fone by nokia.
I like 8800
Nokia why don't make them quad band?
for aisa and us maket.
because I do travel alot
KJ, 20 Aug 2008If the original Arte is anything to go by, this AU$1500 phone will have dust behind the screen... moreWth !?!?!?!I have this phone and your issues never happened to me perhaps if you would know how to take care a phone of such price would help you avoid these issues...or perhaps you dont even have this phone and just wanted to diss it bcuz this is a phone that you'll never get once in ur life :/Im really sorry if i had offended you but i really mean what i said
If the original Arte is anything to go by, this AU$1500 phone will have dust behind the screen, parts of the phone coming apart and not feel like such an expensive phone should. I really wanted to like the Arte, hey, I bought it, and had it replaced four times because of the above mentioned issues. Alas, I gave up and swapped for another phone as Nokia does not even have quality when it comes to phones this expensive. Forget their crap about being exclusive, it's made on a production line like all the other mass market Nokia phones, only difference is that there is a bit more steel in it.
Why won't they make a US 3G version of any of the Arte's?! I'd buy it in a second!
