However, the ultrawide on the 8.3 is definitely above average, especially for a 2020 mid-ranger. The sensor (OV12D) is interesting as it is native 16:9 aspect ratio too, I actually used it to capture RAW/DNG ultrawide images which I very rarely see others do.

Hold on a second, I just noticed something. Why does this phone have a macro camera, when it has AF on the ultrawide camera? I have never seen that before.

2021 - 2023 , this is the best phone ever , and then I broke the screen ! boehoeh , but everythings still works great ! Battery, 2 days easy, maybe 3 days. Fast, good, no shit, android one top, media, video, photo, strong, water resistant, and all that for 300,- in 2021. Now there is nothing simular for 300 in 2023, only chinese shit, boehoeh :-)

If anyone knows how to select the installed melodies in the sounds, in sounds only gives me mine that I inserted via cable. i need that for message sound?? Thanks in advance .

Acidfreak, 02 Jan 2023You must clean the dirt from charging port.. i must do it every 2 months with toothpick becaus... moreI'd recomand you to not use a toothpick as it might damage the connectors, of they aren't already damaged... better use a Toothbrush, that you do not need, with some isopropyl alcohol, will clean the connectors and get out the dust or whatever crables inside the port.

The parts are scarce and just a little above a year of use it developed a charging issue and it took 3months for them to fix it. I will not really recommend this phone anytime to anyone. I am more comfortable using samsung

Some of those problems of Nokia phones go away on their own without updates. I have a Nokia 8 (which had several issues in the beginning) but after 2 years of use, most of them went away on their own, and I'm using it still with the 2020 October security patch

I've had this phone since 12/2021. The biggest thing with Nokia's is the charging port degrades very quickly. Mine has not charged for a couple of days now. This will put me off of Nokia's in the future. It can be slow sometimes, but the battery does last all day if you observe some guidelines like keeping gps off unless needed, turning off wifi if you dont need it and keeping the screen just bright enough. Android 12 does have a save battery feature BTW. Mostly Android 12 looks horrible. Also, I've had to start rebooting this phone almost every day. Strange things start to happen if you don't, like the ringer not working or mobile data dropping to 0. I was thinking of a Motorola but they aren't known for having good speakers, and I need to hear and be heard. I will probably get a Samsung a53. I need a reliable phone.

This has to be 1 of their best devices in a long time, besides the Nokia 8 Sirocco and the Nokia 7 Plus, this was the next best, but seeing the time frame between those 3 releases, and what's currently in the market, makes 1 wonder, will HMD ever make another Nokia flagship or even anything close to it? Unfortuntely i had endless software issues with my 8.3, had it booked in 5 times over a period of about 10 months, and now they decide to replace my 8.3 with the Nokia X20, major downgrade, and to top that off, had to send the X20 in aswell for an OBF under 15 hours of receiving the new device. Currently using my Nokia 7 Plus to post this, had this device since 2018, and to date, no issues at all with this. HMD needs to step up, and big time, 1 would think after getting back into the game after all these years, they would want that redemption that badly. Just watched a flashback review few days ago by Will from here GSM on the Nokia 808, daaam man, that is what Nokia was all about once upon a time.

This is the best phone I have had in a long time. I have kept it as my daily driver for 2 years. It's robust, internet speed is excellent. I do get 5G almost anywhere. I received a 2gb Android 12 update. I have the June security update. The camera is great for the price and sometimes takes better shots than current flagships. The only problem is that Nokia gave us a feel of an all-rounded phone at a great price but has not released anything better for the past 2 years. The 8.3 challenged many flagships. Will nokia release anything better, soon?

The phone is awaresom. But the earphone is not media friendly only for making calls. Please look for NOKIA 8 SIROKO and build such earphones for coming products. I bought it in Nigeria Lagos. Please Nokia improve on your earphones attached to phone. I like wired - earphones . Android 12 is running fine. Earphones should be superb in coming product. Thanks

I got the android 12 update also to my Nokia 8.3 in bay area today automatically. After update, I only needed to reboot and in couple of minutes the Android 12 was up and running.
