Sooooo.... does Nokia NOT have an AMOLED supplier??
Just looked at nine of their latest models and they are all LCD.
Amoled display
IPS is better than OLED.

sanshiro, 20 Jul 2020I cannot go back to lower refresh rate.Wow.
Why do you care about ppi .... natural view isnt ppi its brand technology .... try the phone before giving an opinion ..... but the price is really high....

We too are waiting for Nokia 8.3 as it is going to have Nokia's hallmark Finnish design philosophy and legendary built quality. The moment I hold my Nokia 7 Plus or Nokia 6.1 I can immediately feel that built like a tank approach. All Nokia's are very secure with zero bloatware.
RishiGuru, 15 Jul 2020Personally I respect both display technologies, be it LCD or OLED. Both have its pros and cons... moreNope, i fear they got stucked. They can't operate at full and they are too small to survive in the shark pool if this virus craze continues as there supply chain is not great at all. I hope they recover fast, as copy cats like ximi onepil and ommo are everywhere now. If their is no pure Nokia anymore then i will go back to dumb phone. As android already is a spy, i don't need more spy's from crappy brands.
Carol, 29 Jun 2020Moast probably you are a joke, as it seems you don't really know what ips means. Let me put it... morePersonally I respect both display technologies, be it LCD or OLED. Both have its pros and cons.
What boils down to the manufacturer is the cost. Generally for the same size & resolution, an OLED display is two times as expensive to a LCD display. Hence the main reason for Nokia opting for LCD is to save cost. This is very reason why almost all flagships have OLED, Nokia included.
BTW did Nokia launch 8.3 in Europe?
Not worth for such a high price. LCD display with such a low ppi not expected at this price. Nokia should bring more midrangers like Nokia 7 plus in 2020 and further. Then it will be able to capture the market.

A very good device IF they at least employ a 90Herz screen panel.
I don't mind Amoled, I don't mind the 8XX chip, I mind the refresh rate which is stuck at 60Hz at this price point with NOKIA, in 2020.
Cancel your plans NOKIA with this phone and increase the refresh rate. The best you can do and it will sell a lot more than you think.
Anonymous, 10 Jul 2020The moto g 5G says hello ;)And nobody here said hello back
Anonymous, 13 Jul 2020I really wanted a flagship from nokia. But this is in flagship territory with mid range specs.... moreFlagship teritorry at this price was arround 4 years ago. No flagship teritorry is 800€ and up
This or the pixel 4a?
I've the P30 Pro but will swap to this because Nokia is king. No camera is sharper than Nokia. One Plus is overpriced junk in 2020.
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2020You could also get One Plus for that matter ; ) Keep living in the past ;)
