Do you have something similar from midrange to offer for wireless charging, IP67/68 and good camera?
Pretty much only worth on this is "Android One"
5G is still not a thing, and please don't tell me future proofing, every piece of hardware in this device is mid range, for 100$ less you can get a op7t, by June or July when this device would be available, you might be able to get the op8 for 600€, and then there the iPhone 11 if you want a flagship camera.
i like the design not as much as nokia 9 because i like small top and botom bezzels like nokia 9, note 8 galaxy and also like pixel 2 XL but i think this is a good 5G phone but i cant spend more than 230 dollar.
in my opinion, the design will be so much better if it removes the bottom bezel and put it on the top, put the logo and camera there. just like the classic Lumia.
Kissio, 01 Apr 2020Yeees !!! VERY VERY seriously !!! Check 7.2 feedback ... for example !!! -> https://www.... moreSorry, forgot the link: https://www.belsimpel.nl/nokia-7-2/zwart/reviews
Kissio, 01 Apr 2020Yeees !!! VERY VERY seriously !!! Check 7.2 feedback ... for example !!! -> https://www.... moreWell, this feedback is from actual users of the 7.2 who bought the device. You can only write a review if you actually bought the phone from this website. So if you did not buy the phone, you cannot write any review nor you can troll. And see, the 7.2 gets a 9.1 out of 10, with the result it being 'excellent'.
sanshiro, 01 May 2020I didn't know that LCD is still produced in late 2020's. Kind of lame, and at a premium price ... moreI'd much rather have LCD than OLED. OLED still have burn-in issues in 2020...I want long-lasting screen.
sanshiro, 01 May 2020I didn't know that LCD is still produced in late 2020's. Kind of lame, and at a premium price ... moreThe lame part would be the fact that you have no idea what ips LCD is. If ypu knew, you would have not posted a dumb comment.
m.beps, 01 May 2020The only reason I would buy a Nokia phone is because of the software, Android One is the next ... moreSo,tell me, what would you dowith an 90Hz screen? Just to understand why trnd makes a sense for you.
The only reason I would buy a Nokia phone is because of the software, Android One is the next best thing after Stock and OxygenOS. I wish it had a 90Hz OLED and a telephoto instead of a depth sensor.
I didn't know that LCD is still produced in late 2020's. Kind of lame, and at a premium price of 600 euros.
Anonymous, 28 Apr 2020Sure, you can spend 100 euro more but it doesn't buy you a S20, for that you need to spend 150... moreI don't want a 5G. 4G is not a slow connection by any means. Comparatively yes, but it's not slow, I am not suffering to open a web page or make video calls.
Galaxy S20 is 200$ cheaper now, in many stores. You can even buy it from ebay as new with even less from individuals who got this phone from a contract but want to sell it/
Nokia should stop giving this premium prices, where I can spend another 100$ to buy a flagship from Samsung. I mean come on......
This James Bond phone should cost around 350-400 euros MAX !
Ravoof, 30 Apr 2020Dear All My advice is when planning to buy Nokia smart phone, buy an additional battery &... moreStop your nonsense i have Nokia 6 2017 older then your phone and Nokia 7 Plus,6.1 in my family all are working fine.
Fail again...
UNTIL A NOKIA 808 REMAKE will be ! A NOKIA Original not a copy of IPHONE and other brands.
Something different.. something NOKIA, A new SYMBIAN WITH A NEW CAMERA 808 with APSC sensor, to beat all phones for another 15 years.
But you are not a really NOKIA brand, just a copy who copy another copy... again
Dear All
My advice is when planning to buy Nokia smart phone, buy an additional battery & charging port. Why because Nokia phones charging port is not good and battery will be drain within one hour. It is practical experience with Nokia 6.1 plus.
Thanks to all
Anonymous, 15 Apr 2020For your kind information last year there where no new nokia phones announced since they where... moreThe truth is when HMD first came into picture with Nokia phones, there was a mutual agreement of HMD designing new Nokia phones while Foxconn with its manufacturing prowess will manufacture them. HMD is tiny in comparison to giant Foxconn. In the first year HMD tried to bring back the quintessential built quality that Nokia was renowned for and Foxconn happily obliged.
The result was $800 grade premium built quality in a $250 Nokia 6. However in 1st year the phones did not sell well as the entire lineup was mated with weak processors than its competition. Nokia had to sell these phones at sale prices or else no one will buy. Extremely low profit and the CMD exited the company. Foxconn gave Nokia a second chance as their manufacturing profit was almost non existent with premium materials used to built Nokia phones.
In the second year, HMD created perhaps the best Nokia's considering its time frame. The trio of Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus & Nokia 6.1 had best of both worlds, unheard built quality of previous generation phones & powerful Qualcomm SoCs in their target price ranges. The per unit production cost with this level of quality construction & top of the line processors soared to the sky and Foxconn still produced them as they thought this partnership will work and they will see the profit. It again failed miserably. Nokia 6.1 top model launched at 230 euro was selling at just 88 euros in India. I bought one. I also bought a Nokia 7 Plus when they were selling dirt cheap. Foxconn was again at huge loss manufacturing these new phones.
Eventually this is when Foxconn pulled the plug and declared they will not manufacture for HMD any more. Or even if they does they will do selectively on the flagship models only where they can see good profit. Now HMD was at total loss as they have this huge task to seek out new channel partners & manufactures who will built their phones. Hence so few new models released on their 3rd year of existence.
Nokia did eventually came back to profitability last year by:
1) Making less phones
2) Targeting markets where there is less competition so they can keep the initial price pretty high and make good revenue on the 1st quarter of release.
3) Launch phones much later in the year where cut throat competition exists like markets of China & India.
4) Letting go of the premium quality construction which Nokia was renounced for in their low to mid range phones. Just look at the Foxconn built all premium billeted aluminium body of Nokia 6.1 and the current plastic bodied Nokia 7.2.
Anonymous, 29 Apr 2020Don't know why companies are runnning to get 5G support for their phones . It does seem right ... moreYou didn't get the bigger picture.
5G enabled phones are good for marketing purposes as a manufacturer can command a higher base price from its customer. And they will be ready to pay thinking of it as a future ready phone. But unless a nation-wide GSM carrier is transmitting in 5G and the manufacturer have tested and provided software patches for smooth compatibility with the carrier nothing is future ready.
But the manufacturers are here to do business, and they will do whatever required to earn better revenue. Nothing wrong in that.
Regrading pricing, it all depends on the competition in local market and the manufacturer (here Nokia) will inflate or reduce the margin on their phones accordingly. Not many parts of the world are as lucky as China or India where every smartphone manufacturer releases smartphones at very nominal prices. Take for example the new OnePlus way cheaper than what is sold in Europe and Americas.
That's because Oneplus are now manufacturing their devices in India and exporting to other countries. China and India does not have import duty and the government is taxing less tax as the companies is opening up factories in India. Hence the phones are cheaper.
Anonymous, 29 Apr 2020Don't know why companies are runnning to get 5G support for their phones . It does seem right ... moreLOL go buy your cheap substandard chinese phones.

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2020For your kind information last year there where no new nokia phones announced since they where... moreBased on information available on gsmarena, at least the following new Nokia smartphones were released in 2019: Nokia 4.2, Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2. So however good or bad their relationship is with Foxconn, they were busy releasing new phones even last year.
